MERGEDX3: Phins waive LB Smith and G McChesney

What an offseason this will be. I can't wait to see the work this FO does.
 
Another Cam Cameron draft pick gone. Half of his picks are gone now. Granted, they were in the later rounds, but you are supposed to build depth there.

The media packed into the interview room at the Dolphin's training facility as former Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga answered questions from the media at a press conference to discuss his tenure as owner of the team and his legacy. The Dolphins waived linebacker Kelvin Smith and guard Matt McChesney. Both ended the season on injured reserve.

Smith, a seventh-round pick by the Dolphins in 2007 and nephew of Tennessee Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck, played four games his rookie season with one tackle but didn't get on the field this year before injuring his knee.

McChesney, a converted defensive tackle who was undrafted out of Colorado in 2005, got into one game this season against the Raiders before suffering a strained MCL.

Smith definitely isn't a suprise, but I also am suprised at the McChesney waive . . . this team definitely doesn't like guys who suffer injuries, even if they like potential. Hell Lehan was decent, and they axed him because he couldn't get healthy either.
