When asked why he wouldn't outright commit to staying with the franchise, pledging that he won't exercise the 30-day clause, Parcells explained that life's experiences have taught him never to rule anything out.

Parcells said he'd seen too much throughout his football career to make such a guarantee because if something happened that forces him to changed his mind within the next month he'd "hate to be called a liar."

However, Parcells stressed he's not using his opt out clause to leverage a new contract from new owner Stephen Ross, whom he's had conversations with, and says he likes.

"It's not about money," Parcells stressed. "I've got more than I can spend."

According to Parcells, he's presently comfortable with the direction the Dolphins are headed under Ross.

I think after seeing the beatdown the Ravens gave the Dolphins in the Wild Card, Bill realizes that his job down here is FAR from finished.

i still think we should try and get BP a bigger contract so he is stuck here.... and werent ppl saying that ross didnt have enough money? it says here that he was rated Americas 78th richest man in Forbes mag... so haha i guess thats no prop

Yea we shall see but I doubt he leaves this year, he has been paid well. Next year maybe. He is a hired gun so we all know it will happen soon.
 
It came across the ticker saying "New Majority Owner Stephen Ross says Parcells is staying with Phins"
 
Problem is, Ross isn't Parcells and unfortunately Ross has no control over BP staying. It is strictly Bills decision. Now I feel BP will stay, my point is Ross doesn't have the final say in the matter at the moment.

do you take ross as a fool though? how could he make a statement like that and not be able to back it up? he would look like a fool now after saying that and BP leaving. Even look at Parcells reaction...lol, he was pretty much saying, "WTF do you think?" when he responded to reporters.

k now you can watch on ESPN. as im writing this, they're talking about it.
