Fins and fans...

Greetings from a Bears fan. I hope you all emerge from Sunday without injury.

I, like several, have been a little tongue in cheek over at our boards about the '72 Dolphins and their reaction to your coach, and their hope for a Bears loss in two days. But, ya know, we get a LOT of crap too for living back in '85, and all of it well-deserved.

You guys are a team struggling for base-level respect right now, but believe me, we've BEEN THERE.... (LOL - for more than a few years - heck, even Don Banks over at SI STILL doesn't think we are actually "undefeated").

I hope you all hang in, and that everyone is patient with Saban and Co. You don't have an easy road ahead. I don't think the road will get any easier for you this Sunday, either, and I think Joey Harrington is going to have one heck of a tough day. Liked his spunky attitude in the interview the other day though. Intensity and desire are good things.

All that aside, good luck as you continue to build - your personnel situation kind of went to hell on you this year, and I know it's GOT to be frustrating.

Ah, at any rate, again, good luck Sunday, and through the rest of this season. I don't envy your position, but I can certainly relate to it.

Thanks bud, hope your Bears do well the rest of the season, how about throwing one this Sunday just for old times sake?

Welcome to the boards.

Tell me about it!!! Nice post mate. You have a good team this season, still think you can do better at QB but who are we to shout!
Throw this game and if ever you come to the UK i'll introduce you to the Queen myself!!!! pleeeeeeeeeease.

its good to see a bears fan not bashing us for once. i live 2 hours from chi town and there are as many bears fans around here as there are colts fans. All i hear about is how they are goin to be better than the 72 fins and this and that. Thanks for cheering me up!

Thanks for the classy post. you and the colts are my picks. if you don't mind-i am hoping this Sunday is the bright spot in the season--remember the last time you went 15-1, and who beat you?? Maybe this is Karma for both teams. i know the 72 fins have the bubblie chilling. GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE WAY.:dolphins:

THanks for the classy post and good luck the rest of the way.

Good luck to you guys come Sunday! See you on the field!

Hmm...not a bad offer...

Let's see......in exhange for a loss, my reward might be...

--A meeting with the Queen (though I note, exactly which queen wasn't mentioned - a loophole, no doubt)...

--a nod to old times

I'll have to think about it, darnit. But, I don't think we can spare a loss right now, seeings as how the media is still insisting we actually LOST the Arizona game, and that we didn't so much win as kinda stumbled outta the Vikings game without a loss. It's wierd, I know, but, we're the Bears, and until we win something like 248 straight games according to some, we're just really, really lucky every Sunday or so.

Will say though, you have a nice fan base here. And for the record, I was always a HUGE Dan Marino fan. Man oh man, the lad could throw a football. never will understand how he managed to avoid a SB ring. Never.

See ya on Sunday - and hey - my MSN nic is listed somewhere in my profile I think, so, if you like, feel free to message me during the game Sunday, if you find a reason to do so. I'll be around.

Next year is going to be interesting for you all, I believe.
