First time, real cool dude. He was doing an event signing in the Florida mall at the grand opening of the Microsoft store. They wouldn't allow people to bring personalized items, which many people brought, including myself, because we didn't know otherwise.

Anyways people still asked him to do so, and he was more than happy to. The Microsoft people had to stop him three times and tell him not to, and he did once more, for this little girl and her dad that wanted a jersey signed. At that point they made everyone leave their dolphins memorabilia at the door before entering to see Dan.

Dan is cool. Microsoft sucks.

Dood, you are so lucky. Did you shake his hand btw? Or just get his sign / kept distance?

I'd prolly freak / stand there shocked if I saw him anywhere.

Congrats!

Thanks man. Yeah I shook his hand and and chatted for a sec. Got two pics, one with me and him and one with me, my girl and him. I'm trying to post the pics but I'm not sure how

I was kinda nervous too, it was weird cause I've never been star struck like that before lol but he was a cool dude

During Dan's playing years, I met him at Markham park. He was very friendly and talked to me and my friend about the previous game that we won.
He had a reputation as being rude, but I thought he was real cool, just another guy. I am 6'5 and I was surprised how tall he was/is.

Why would you bring in such a sports celebrity and make rules about no "personal" signatures ? Yeah, Dan Marino, could you please sign my new microsoft software I just bought! (right?!?!) If they are going to do something like this, they should limit people to one item or you have to buy something in order to meet him.

What else is Marino doing these days? Will he still be on CBS? His relevancy will kinda fade, I hate to admit, because his records have been broken and he never won a ring. People that are kids now will not know anything about Dan in 10 years. How's that car dealership doing?

Sounds like fran tarkenton

Still the best passer that ever lived. In his youth he was also one of the most nimble athletes I've seen also. Within a 10 yd2 radias, he was one of the quickest athletes I ever saw. Watch those youtubes of his TD passes and you see him elude the rush in incredible ways, then snap one off 40 yards downfield right to someone's fingertips. The numbers do not tell the story of his greatness, but the film does.
