I was in Ft. Lauderdale and I have to say it is one of my favorite cities in America. The beaches are beutiful, the prices are reasonable, and the clubs are hoppin. Probally movin there once I graduate.

Anyways, the first night I was there I went to hooters at beach place (for those of you familar with the area). I was walking in and out walks Channing Crowder, Phillip Merling and Matt Roth. Channing seemed kinda drunk, but Matt Roth was so drunk he could barely walk or talk. Everyone was laughing at him and rightfully so, complete mess. I introduced myself and told them I was the biggest Dolphin fan in Wisconsin. After they walked away I was pissed cuz I forgot to get my picture with them. But I went to the beach basically every day I was down there, and I saw Phillip Merling almost everyday. One day I saw him at Blondies, and got my picture taken with him. He was such a nice guy. He even sat down at our table and had a drink. I asked him how it felt being responsible for the retirement of Favre. He laughed about it, really humble nice guy. Very cool expirence.

Anyone who lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Do you see alot of Dolphins out and about? If so where?

Talk is cheap... I would like to challenge you for that title. Maybe you could be the biggest Dol-Fan in Eastern Wisconsin... I can take Western.

But still, that is pretty cool you saw them down there. You should post that pic with Merling.

I left my glasses at Blondies about a week ago, I have to go pick them up. Every once in a while I'll see a Dolphin player down here, some used to go to Cafe Martorano- I think Zach Thomas and JT to name a couple. That's 5 minutes away on Oakland and A1A. Beach Place, Blue Martini, Capital Grille- you never know. Maybe the Elbo Room right by Beach Place and Blondie's. Also downtown Lauderdale, all kinds of places there.

if so, which is you & which is Phillip Merling?

Lucky you! It's nice too see these guys out and about being fan friendly.

My friend has the pic. Ill see if he can email it to me and Ill post it.

Yah Merling was class act. Matt Roth not so much. But he is a midwest guy. He has no choice over being a drunk or not.

WISfinfan13, You still haven't commented on my Challenge/ Compromise.

Until today you have been undisputed but I plan on defeating the incumbent in a landslide underdog victory for Biggest Wisconsin Dol-Fan.

Or you can accept my compromise and split the state into East and West.

Ill split it east west. But if you ever move to eastern wisconsin you need my permission first.

I have to say that I met Roth (when he was completely sober though...I think ha ha) at Pembroke Lakes mall in pines. He had to be the absolute nicest player I have ever met. Given he was a rookie then and was probably happy just to get recognized, but he was a big mama jamma. I am 6'3 210 and he seems monstorous to me.

He stopped and had a conversation with me and my mom for probably 10 minutes just talking and shooting the ****. It was an awesome experience he chatted with us like he knew us. If we werent in a rush leaving he probably would have talked with us longer. He was with some short looking guy too, which was really funny to see.

Anyways, just shows how different players can be on different days..

Thats wierd because I met Matt Roth in Cleveland his rookie year in 2005 and he was the coolest guy. I sat and talked with him and former Dolphins punter Donnie Jones for 10-15 minutes and they were real personable.

How can you guys visit Blondies, talk about Spring Break, chicks in bikinis, cold cheap beer , and Fin players, and not post a SINGLE pic? Cmon, show a little mercy...
