...this way we can allow Matt Roth and Cameron Wake to rotate at the SOLB. With Joey Porter's great year, (but slow down at the end of the year), Jason Taylor can be a pass rush specialist that will just basically give Porter enough breathers that he won't break down by end of season.

and also if Porter should go down to injury, you still have a proven pass rusher to step in. We need to also keep CHarlie Anderson as a third string emergency gap, should my latter scenario happen, Anderson will back Taylor up. Hello!

What type of salary are we talking here? We're only about 9 mil below cap, we have a draft class to sign, some FA's, and we have to get though the year.. and hopefully start resigning some 2010 FA's early..

I truly believe Miami is going to draft a DE/LB hybird. It's just the feeling I get from what should be on the board when we draft and what BP really likes to draft. If we do I don't think JT will get his second stint with the Dolphins. JMO.

anyone signing JT will have him start... he's not going to be a bench player, you should know better than this ....:D

Besides, right now he's a better pass rusher than anyone else we have aside from porter.... I'm hoping thats untrue and Wake is a Freak tho !

If we draft a de/olb early in the draft we have no chance at resigning JT. If we do not, JT will be back on the team unless he signs somewhere else before the draft happens.

why not sign him to start and teach the rookie that were going to draft... 3 mil/year deal sounds about right

Jeff Ireland revealed that MIA only has "one more roster spot" for OLB left on the roster. So that means a draft pick "or" JT. Not both. And to be frank, Cameron Wake could be the equivalent of us having already drafted a young OLB. Roth is still young as is Anderson, so we have 3 young OLBs. Plus Quentin Moses is also a young OLB too.

Ireland also revealed who the #1 overall draft pick was going to be last year. A pillar of the defense, IIRC. Don't be so quick to believe what someone says in a PArcells regime

and exactly what makes you think JT would be willing to be a back-up?

Charlie Anderson sucks.

wait a minuet guys there was a thread on another site that siad we had signed Jason was this another hoax ?

I think we ought to bring back surtain but not jason .

if we could bring back both guys we might be able to draft more dlinemen and another olineman.

I know , I know there isnt a chance in hell the front office would do this but hell i think it could help fill in a couple of holes for a year or two.

We should only sign JT so he can retire as a Fin. We wont sign him to play unless we get hit by injuries, and I doubt he'd be available by that point anyway.
