Not bad. No I’m not including the stupid London game because that’s more of a road game than a “home” game. Going 6-2 or better at home and 4-4 or better on the road every year is the best way to get into the playoffs. Here to Miami being 8-2 at Hard Rock under Gase after this Sunday.

If only we had home games every week, maybe we would actually be able to do something in the playoffs

Protecting our home turf is important. There are a few staples that make teams good every year, winning in their division, and winning at home. If you can do those things, you'll be in the playoffs almost every year. In the NFL it's very tough to consistently have production on the road unless you're a great team. We are not. So, winning our home games needs to be our bread and butter. And even more importantly, winning our division games ... starting this week.

Really?...If only we had fans with attention spans longer than their....well...you get the idea.

You have the real deal here coaching your team right now....take it from a veteran of the Dolphin Glory days...appreciate every moment of what is about to transpire.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at with that comment, as my post had nothing to do with an attention span nor was it really an attack on the coaching staff.

Point being, you could be 8-0 at home, but if you finish 1-7 on the road, you’re missing the playoffs. Or like last year, your playoff game is on the road and you then play like you didn’t belong there.

This team also has to be able to win on the road if it’s going to be a serious playoff contender

Good thing we're 2-1 on the road this year then.

Yeah weren't we 1-7 at home under sparano?
I believe we went 0-8 at home one season under him. Perhaps I’m wrong and it was 1-7. Tyler Thigpen started a Thursday night game against the Bears that season if I recall.

1-7 in 2010 under Sparano. Never above .500 at home with Sparano as coach.

2008 - 4 - 4
2009 - 4 - 4
2010 - 1 - 7
2011 - 3 - 4 before he was fired with 3 games remaining.

path to respectable playoff contender..Win at home ( 6-2), Have winning record in division, play at least 500 ball on the road

Well, we are 2-1 on the road this year also. Both wins against two teams that can play offense...one was in the Superbowl last year.
