Miami about to make a splash at WR?

What happens if you did not have a 1st round pick, do you give up your second, next year's first or you can't sign the player at all?

I'd rather not give up our 1st for Wallace, Vjax is signing elsewhere, Blackmon WILL NOT be available, and Wayne is no longer what he once was.

Face it, the people running this team, clueless as ever, traded Marshall in the hopes that manning might give them another interview.

Blackmon isn't reaching us. V-Jax has a worse attitude than BM, also really wants to be paid big money. Wallace isnt worth the money he will be asking for, that's for sure. The rest are nothing to get excited about.

Wayne is longer what he once was? he had almost 1,000 yards receiving and 70+ receptions with arguably the worst QB since Ray Lucas. He's still got it

Well yes, obviously. We will not roll with Hartline as our #1. I'm sure a lot of that Marshall money will be put toward a replacement. I think the organization felt that in such a deep FA WR class they could use that cap space on another WR that could be close to Marshall's talent but without the drops and other issues, plus pick up some draft picks.
I think they felt like they needed to save that money so they can give it to a really sweet free agent lineman...

If by big splash, you mean peeing in the kiddie pool then ya, maybe.

This is supposedly a deep draft at WR but unless we get Blackmon or Floyd, I don’t know if it’s wise to rely too much on a rookie WR. I don’t see us going after any big name free agents since that would cost too much and Marshal‘s cap number wasn’t too bad this year. It’s hard to not tie this in with our pursuit of Manning but unless the Dolphins are confident they’re about to sign him, why do it now?
