Miami actually came out even with Marshall

Even with the Marshall addition, the Bears are still third in that division. Green Bay and Detroit still better and not even close.

According to Ross, in an interview with a protester, they shopped BM for a couple weeks with no takers. If they hadn't completed the trade with Chicago, they were
going to release BM outright.

You have to give the organization credit. Only they could convince fans without any evidence that trading three years of cap space including this years 6 million along with two second round picks for a two thirds was a good trade lol.
Not to mention the team has lost its best and most consistent offensive player. we now have Moore and Bush on one more year of contract.

My god man....everyone knows Miami came out bad overall. Talk about beating a dead horse! THe reality is that they made a mistake, in their opinion, so they got rid of him. At some point you cut your losses and move on. Stop being so fricking negative, Miami has so little to look forward to. Why do you even follow them? All you do is complain about everything they do....seriously man, life is too short to be so negative.lol

I follow them because I love my team that I have followed since i could comprehend what a football is and Im negative because these idiots have turned a team that was once special into a bottom rung team that is suprised when it makes a playoff. Sorry if I hate seeing what they have done to the team I truly love and speak on it. What do I gain by acting like everything is fine and we are just so close to a championship. Please tell me what these people running the team have done so positive that I should feel good about. Three straight losing seasons I think i have a right to be negative,

Your joking right I said our best and most consistent player. Bush had a great season for him but he has been anything but consistent in his career. he had his first really good season in his career after being an utter failure in who would have been cut if we had not traded for him. Love or hate mArshall he was one of the best wr's in the nfl while Bush is hardly among the best rb's in the nfl

you must be joking. Marshall tied for 33rd in TDs last year, 73rd in 2010. sorry, but that doesn't exactly qualify for "one of the best".
also, you said "our best offensive player" then compare Reggie to the rest of the NFL- which is it?
as for who was better for the Dolphins, Reggie scored 7 times to Marshall's 6, which is better?

So its only about tds scored. I mean you do realize that marshall set up many of those tds. Marshall all pro receiver Bush one good nfl season bust before that.
Let me see Marhsll some trade value, Bush switch sixth rounders and Amaya that speaks for itself. hey if your serious fine but not many outside this board would agree that Bush was the dolphins best offensive weapon and I did say consistent, one season out of your entire career is not being consistent. Marshall is as consistent on the field as he is is beating up his girlfriend

I know we traded two second round picks for Marshall, but Ireland got a second round pick back through trading. So Marshall only cost us one second round pick. Miami wanted a second round pick from the Bears for Marshall. From what I understand getting a third round this year and a third round next year is equal to a second round pick on the draft value chart. If that's the case Miami broke even.

Chelsea, is that you performing more blonde math to show two 2s equal two 3s? ... last weeks mph blonde math viral video!! lol

how can you reply with quote and still miss the point of this thread. Read it again.. In THE WORLD OF NFL DRAFT VALUE (2) 3 EQUALS A 2ND. NO MATTER WHAT YOU THINK, IT'S A GIVEN FACT. NOT AN OPINION. AND SINCE IRELAND TRADED DOWN HE GOT ONE OF THOSE 2ND ROUNDERS BACK, THIS IS A FACT AS WELL.

lol Its a blonde fact, stretching the word fact to blonde fact.

He's mixing PV Present Value & FV Future Value, different rounds & years ... and a title saying "came out even" which is worse. Do the points in the trade year & the future years & you see its Blonde Math!! Gives Chelsea a run for her money!!

well what about the lack of developing another player and the close top 6 million in dead money this season.
So we traded 2 2nds and 6 million dollars for 2 thirds oh what a deal

Problem is, it wasn't about money or what we could get for him. It was about the fact that he was a locker room cancer, a sideline cancer and an on the field cancer and an off the field cancer, not to mention a lack of production and scoring on the field and a plethora of dropped passes, many of which were potential TDs... The return for all the other crap he brought to the team wasn't worth keeping him... The guy had to go, there was no two ways about it...I don't have any problem with them making a deal to dump him.

As to not developing a player behind him, well how ?? How much was Marlon Moore or Pruitt on the field with Marshall there ?? Besides that, that was the coaching staff's responsibility, not the GM... I just don't have any remorse about losing Marshall..

I'll ask again... what player or coach said marshall was a cancer in the locker room? What player or coach said he was an on field cancer? What player tweeted they were happy marshall had been traded?

Publicly, not a word, however we haven't heard much from the team about anything. We do know that Ross said that they were going to either trade him, if they could or cut him if they couldn't...Privately, I'll bet MMoore had a lot to say after the guy threw him under the bus at the PB or Tony Sparano probably didn't like him much after he dissed him several times.... Look, it was not really a secret or anything that he caused problems within the team...there were incidents all along while he was here and his production, particularly scoring production, didn't match what they paid to get him or what they were paying him....
