Disclaimer: Yes, many things need to happen, but crazier things most certainly have happened before.

What needs to happen:

1. Miami Wins out 10-6 (4-2 division)
2. New England must lose out 10-6 (3-3 division) Opponents: @Baltimore, Vs Buffalo
3. Cinci loses to Minnesota, then beats Baltimore. 10-6, we hold head to head.
4. Indy splits their last two games (@kc, vs Jac) 10-6 we hold tie breaker.

If this happens we get the bye. Here's to hoping.

It's a long shot, but at least it's not a totally outlandish one.

pats aren't losing to buffalo at home in a win and win the division scenario...not even entertaining it

Bills almost always play the Pats tough in Foxboro. Pats have won all 5 of the previous 5, but 4 of those were very close games when the Pats were a better team and the Bills were worse.

Get in and anything can happen....people talk about the hot teams at the end of the season and have in the past done well in the playoffs....Miami looks like on of those teams...

This actually happened for us one time back in the 90's

In 1992 we sat behind the Bills with 3 games to play and were looking at getting the 6 seed.
The Bills lost in the season finale to Houston, while we beat the patriots in OT.
4 team finished at 11-5 and we won out on tiebreaker with Bills and Chargers
Steelers got the #1 seed and Miami ended up with #2

We ended up losing in the Conference Championship to Bills after they beat Houston in comeback game and then upset Pittsburgh to allow us to host Conference championship with #2 seed.
Everything fell in place that year but we couldn't get past the Bills.

So it can happpen

if it happens, consider yourself lucky. i'd love to see the Patriots crumble, but it's simply unlikely.

The Bills have NEVER beaten the Pats at Gillette. The last win was in 2000.

Summary: The ONLY scoreboard we should be watching is our own...BUT, when we win these are the things to look for : )
