IMO, They can be GREAT next year if 3 things happen.......

#1, Culpepper returns to a pro bowl form
#2, Miami gets ahold of a good/fast WR(Ted Ginn anybody???)
#3, Snatch a good CB in FA( Clements?)

Everything else I think will be more than Ok......

O-line....... is getting better, and Houck will have them playing at an even higher level next season

RB.......We need NO help here

TE.......Mcmike/Peele will be just fine

D-line...... Mix of old, and youth, we are fine here

LB's........ We need some help here, but could get by another year with what we got no problem

You mean that IF Culpepper returns...at all.

i love the part about dc givin young hell at halftime

HYDE: Lemon shows promise

At halftime, Daunte Culpepper had it out in the back of the press box with Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young. Culpepper even got Young to recant a second-quarter report on ESPN about the injured Dolphin not just "floundering," but "missing meetings. He's not really focused."

"I was wrong," Young said after talking with Culpepper.

i wondered why they came out in the second half and recanted this statement. This attitude here tells me he will be back and ready.

I would rank Miami's needs something like this:

1. QB. We desperately need a talented guy for the future to stabilize this offense.

2. WR. We need a true #1 that is tall and strong.

3. OL. We still need one dominant presence on the OL...someone who's mean and nasty for Ronnie to run behind.

4. CB. We need another guy who can be healthy for a whole season and hold contain when a big play tries to bust loose.

I didn't include the Offensive Coordinator in that list, simply because I wanted to rank the players seperately, but there is no denying that Mularky must go...the man doesn't have it in him. This of course raises the prospect of another season with everyone struggling to learn a new offense, but I think this could be minimized if we pick the right guy...someone who knows our players, is well liked, and has a good background with this team. My vote? It's time to give Jason Garrett a shot.

there is no way we're great next year but I think we have a chance to be good. We need a killer draft and good free agency pickups to achieve good

I agree totally with the 1st 3 in that order. BUT this offense is terrible and it needs more help than that. It needs a CENTER that will run this line. I think Hadnot is below avg and will not allow this line to be good. Oline help has to be #3a.

If it's anywhere, it'll probably be at LT. Numerous articles have stated that the coaching staff seems to be pretty happy with the way Hadnot is progressing.

What good will that do when Ronnie only gets the ball once every 3 plays? He is the most under utilized running back in the NFL.

I like Ginn, Jr but not to be our #1 WR. He's straight line fast and is still learning to run pass routes. He could however make a big difference in our ST return game.
Clements asking price will be too high, as it was this year, and I doubt we'll have enough cap space to sign him.

I agree, but I was just sayin....... I think IF we brought back the same O-line they'd be better next year with a full year of playing together, and another offseason of Houck coaching them up. If Ronnie can run for over 1,000 yards this year after missing 3 games(I think he'll have a big game vs. Indy) then I don't see any reason why the Ronnie/Ricky won't terrorize defenses next year. You're still right though...... we NEED O-line help to be a truly dominant team, but I still think we can win with this current group

they need ricky williams to report to camp in shape at 215 lbs., and become a speed back and combien with ronnie brown to become a 1-2 punch.

fire mularkey

fire jason garrett

culppeper must be healthy

use jason taylor as a goalline tight end

never wear those aqua or orange jerseys

use marcus vick as an antwaan randel-el type player.

stop signing senior citizens like dan wilkinson.

Our Defensive Backfield Sucks... How Does Pennington Complete All Those 3rd Down Passes. There Were 4 Instaces Where His Passes Hit Dolphins Db's And No Int's.... That Is Just Lame....

i agree with 5 of those things

fire mularky, culpepper must be healthy, never wear aqua or orange jerseys, use vick as a randel-el type player, and stop signing old washed up players. what would using JT as a goal-line tightend do?

Forgot to add 1(a) .CP who has used his mobility to be successfull in football need to learn to be more of a pocket passer with loss of mobility.

Even though every one thinks its a easy thing to do i do not.You are asking a guy to relearn and execute what one develops over 15 yrs.Good luck.

FOOTBALLOUTSIDERS has the Dolphins ranked #27 in the league rushing up the middle, while running behind the left tackle is #6 in the NFL.
CENTER/MIDDLE=# 27 @3.86 YRDS PER PLAY RUSHING
LEFT TACKLE=#6 @4.93 YRDS PER PLAY RUSHING
LEFT END= #25 @3.23 YRDS PER PLAY RUSHING
RIGHT TACKLE =#4 @4.67YRDS PER PLAY RUSHING
RIGHT END = #2 @ 5.52YRDS PER PLAY RUSHING

We rush towards the
LE-9%
LT-8%
CENTER/MIDDLE-50%
RT-20%
RE-11%

That's what the stats say
We need a Center that can run block as well as an End that can block
and I believe I read that there is an outstanding run blocking end available in free agency. As for a LT do we keep what we have at a bargin price,do we draft an unproven rookie or can we pick up something in free agency NEXT YEAR at LT because not much is available this off season.

Above all I think we need playmakers on offense...and....and....and....and
