The 2005 Miami Dolphins kick off their season this weekend with the induction of the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. We can listen and read all the opinions about who was the greatest quarterback but as true loyal fans of the game we know that no other quarterback will ever compare to #13, Dan Marino. For 17 years he gave us a team worth watching every week he played the game. We all have our special games that we saw Dan play but we knew he was there to compete week in and week out and give us fans the pleasure of watching him play. No other single player has affected this team the way Dan Marino did. Dan will forever be linked to the greatness of the Miami Dolphins. Tomorrow is his day and the day we say so long to a great career. If any player deserves to stand and be presented in Canton, Ohio it is #13. Dan you where not only great on the field but a class act off of it. Your memory will live on with us and with the Miami Dolphins. Thankyou for the memories and the joy you bought to this game.
As the Miami Dolphins prepare to play Monday night I can feel the excitement from Dolphin fans all around but especially here at Finheaven. I have not seen this much enthusiasm before the beginning of a season in a long time and I anticipate a good year from the players and coaches alike. I got a chance to read all the posts that have been posted on the death of Hunter Kelly and for that moment football was not that important but it showed me that Dolphin fans are a class act and did not hesitate to put football aside for a brief moment to say what was on their mind to a Father and the Kelly Family. With the changes to this team and the great fan base that has been around for a long time the Dolphins will again be ready to compete and give us back the pride and joy of what we call Miami Dolphin Football.
Good luck to the Dolphins and to all of you as we kick off another year of the greatest professional team in sports history.
