Its become evident in the week following the conclusion of the regular season, that the quarterback position has been the hottest topic for debate. I know that some of you are tired of the endless quarterback threads, but I would like to get a general sense of who people want behind center come September.

1. Gus Frerotte
2. Brian Griese
3. Chris Simms
4. Steve McNair
5. Aaron Brooks
6. Tim Couch
7. Rookie QB
8. Other Free Agent

I do not want Frerotte behind center unless he is holding for the kicker.

Search the forum. Everyone hates Aaron Brooks and Tim Couch, a lot of people like Simms, many like McNair but it seems unrealistic, a handful like Griese but everyone mentions how it was Zack that decommissioned him, Frerotte, well, you can see one of the 47 threads today for that.

It's Gus until a younger QB is groomed and ready to start. Saban doesn't want to throw an entire season away by playing a young QB lacking enough Pro experience that will result in the team losing games. Gus for the most part does enough, as Saban has stated, to put the skilled players in position to win games.
