We have alot of FA coming up in 2008. What do you guys think we do with these guys. Here is my take

Hadnot. I think we have to do everything we can to resign him to a long term contract. He can play multiple positions on the line, is young, pretty consistent and one of the biggest brightspots on the OL.

Bell. can start but is injury prone - We need an insurance policy for him unless we sign someone like Hamlin, then Bell is great depth.

Pope. is young and given the limited playing time he was allowed has been a bright spot.

Spragan. Very consistent player and great for depth. He tackles well and makes a nice play from time to time.

Lehan. Although he isnt good enough to be a full time starter he is good for depth in a nickle or dime package (given we upgrade the position and he is pushed down the depth chart)

Page. Is young and very quick and made good with the time he was given on the field. I think in a few years he could be a very good player for us.

Shulters. Eh, I dont really care what happens to him. He was a very good safety for us in 2005. He could be good for depth but thats about it.

Rosenthal. Good for depth as long as he can stay healthy.

Lime. Ugh, get him out of here. I dont need to mention his decision making and accuracy issues...He proved to be a horrible QB this year even froma back-up standpoint. Pretty much any other QB we could bring in would be an upgrade over him.

Gado, Chatman, Cobbs. I can see anything happening here because of the return of Ronnie, the emergence of Booker, and the renewal of Ricky(given he is on the roster at seasons start) To me Gado and Chatman are basically the same running back. we can accomplish with Gado what we accomplished with Chatman and for much less money. And Gado is only 25. If anyone is dropped I see it being Cobbs by default.

Camarillo. We should give him a 1 or 2 year contract for depth.

Lekkerkerkerkerkerkerkeker. MAkes me sick to my stomach. This guy is worthless

Thoughts?

I say resign Camarillo, Chatman, and Pope, the rest in my book are expendable.

Hadnot, Chatman and Bell may be re-signed. Derrick Pope doesn't fit the mold of what we're looking for in a LB since he's only 5'11" 230.

I think Hadnot is our most important offseason decision. We have had OL issues ever since the late 90's and they have just gotten worse and worse every year. Its very important to keep our productive, drafted players on this oline. Hadnot is part of the nucleus on the line. With him, Carey, and Satele we have the beginning of what could be a great oline for the next ten years. Just a couple pieces and we could be set here. It would be a bad idea to break up the cohesivness these three guys are beginning to have

Hope we re-sign Camarillo and definitley get rid of Cleo Lemon

Hadnot. Wants too much money so no.

Bell. Sign him for one year and give him a shot to start.

Pope. Keep him as a backup as he fills in nicely when he plays.

Spragan. Goodbye.

Lehan. If he'll sign for cheap, keep him for a few years as a backup.

Page. I'd like to see what he can do.

Shulters. Goodbye.

Rosenthal. Goodbye.

Lemon. Goodbye.

Gado, Chatman, Cobbs.
Keep Chatman.

Camarillo. Keep him for depth purposes.

Lekkerkerkerkerkerkerkeker. Goodbye.

I'd rather give Faneca the $18-20mil guaranteed than give Hadnot anything close.

Rex Hadnot- Resign him unless he asks for Eric Steinbach type money.

Bell- Would be great to bring back espiecally if he will resign for cheap. Only down thing is he is coming off a major injury.

Pope- Let him walk. He is small and frankly wasn't good last year. We have two young linebackers as well in Kelvin Smith and Edmond Miles, both of which I think can make this years roster.

Spragan- Let him walk, same reason as Pope.

Lehan- I like him, I think we should resign him, remember last year was his first year starting and he didn't do that bad.

Page- I agree 100% with your reasoning.

Rosenthal- I say we let him walk, coming off a major injury and I think we will pick up a linemen or two in free agency for depth.

Lemon- I would like to see him come back next year. I think he could end up being a good quarterback if he gets some weapons around him.

Gado, Chatman, Cobbs- Only one we should bring back is Chatman and only if he will resign for free.

Camarillo- Speedy Wes Welker like reciever, I think there is a spot on Sparano's team for this guy.

Lekerkerker- We can pick up a better guy in free agency let him walk.

I also think that Chris Liwenski is a free agent, we should let him walk as well.

Lehan. Although he isnt good enough to be a full time starter he is good for depth in a nickle or dime package (given we upgrade the position and he is pushed down the depth chart)

I love this guy but he is always getting called for holding or pass interference.

Are you kidding... did you watch him play? his accuracy and decision making impressed you? Both of which are not functions of the talent around you. Those are pure QB attributes

Gado, Chatman, Cobbs- Only one we should bring back is Chatman and only if he will resign for free.

Gado and Chatman are almost identical runningbacks and Gado is much younger

Lekerkerker- We can pick up a better guy in free agency let him walk.

God, I dont think there is a worse PLAYER on our team

i think chatman is far better than gado, especially if he can trim off a few more pounds this offseason. Gado just looks like a big tackling bag, he doesnt move in the hole at all, and rarely breaks tackles for a rb of his size. chatman is a little shiftier and breaks far more tackles. if we keep either of them i feel it should deffinitely be chatman, but personally i'd dump them both and keep ronnie ricky and lobo, wishful thinking.

Chatman just doesnt have a nose for the endzone like Gado does (in 07 anyways), as funny as that sounds, and I think I just got so sick of seeing Chatman try to use that spin thing everytime he was touched by a tackler. Id rather see Ronnie/Ricky/LilBook/Gado [than chatman]. For a 4th stringer I think Chatman would cost too much
