Miami dolphins' 2012 free agents: Bunch of no-bodies!

It will be interesting with a new coaching staff coming in and assuming we keep Ireland, how many of these FA's we keep/go after versus draft or bring in other FA's. They don't have that tie to the existing players, so it's usually easy for them to make the break. But I'm not sure how much say Ireland, who has a tie to many of these guys, will have?

Solai is not worth the money, but we can't afford to lose him.

If you can't afford to lose him then how is he not worth the money? You people act as if the money is coming out of your pockets... Werent the dolphins way under the cap this year even with Soliai big $12 mil hit to the cap?

I wouldn't be so sure we move away from a 3-4 if Fisher comes here. Keep in mind we were a Top 5 defense against the run this year and that was with a pretty horrid start. We started pretty bad simply b/c of the shortened off-season. Guys weren't in shape yet and that showed (especially against the Pats week 1) Here is our game by game rushing yards against.

1: Pats - 106 YA
2: Texans - 138 YA
3: Browns - 71 YA
4: Chargers - 116 YA
5: Jets - 104 YA
6: Broncos - 183 YA
7: Giants - 61 YA
8: KC - 119 YA
9: Wash - 61 YA
10: Buffalo - 41 YA
11: Dallas - 85 YA
12: Oakland - 46 YA
13: Philly 51 YA
14: Buffalo 113 YA
15: Pats 119 YA
16: Jets 129 YA

Some of the weeks in there were just un-real and Big Paul was a huge (pun intended) reason for that. 41 YA facing Fred Jackson and the Bills; Only 46 YA facing Michael Bush and the Raiders; Giants could only muster 61 YA; Dallas only 85; and the rushing leader at the time, LeSean McCoy and the Eagles could only get 51.

Fisher should not blow this defensive scheme up. He needs to bring in some secondary help (1 CB and a Safety) and another pass rusher and this defense can all of the sudden be a Top 5 unit (barring Soliai is re-signed as well of course). He really is one of the most integral parts of our defense even though he isn't on the field 100% of the time.

My philosophy, stop the run, let the pass rushers pin their ears back, and let the secondary ball hawk. That's how defenses win games in this league.
