Miami Dolphins 2014 2nd round pick- Jarvis Landry

guys, this guy plays fast on game day especially RAC. screw the 40 time. he's a perfect slot man. he catches everything - highlight reel stuff -- he runs over dudes and he drags defenders. he'll be a reliable chain mover for years to come.

let's forget about his 40 time. It's not like he is a receiver or anything. Short slow receivers are real difficult to find in a very deep WR class. So what if he will struggle to get PT and so what if his QB can't find Wallace more than twice a game even though he is open constantly. The important thing is that apologist for Hickey a.k.a. Ireland 2.0 are out defending him and happy.

He is not only slow, he was the slowest wr at the entire combine. At 5-11

Yes he produced playing with a great offense. Still a terrible pick. Slowest, as in none at the entire combine were slower. He didn't only do bad, he failed miserably

I love how people look at a stat and then pass judgement. Maybe his muscles were stiff or he had a small injury. Whatever the case, he doesn't play at 4.77 and he posted a sub-4.6 40 at his Pro Day.

I would have rather had Moncrief

Moncrief is Derek Hagan MkII. He drops everything.

He's not slow, he was nursing an injury to his hamstring during his runs. It is a position of need if you happen to notice two current receivers are rehabbing serious injuries. He put up good production and he is tough and physical, something Miami lacks at WR.

LMAO.

People blindly love Hickey now but he reached on three guys. We will be looking for a new gm shortly

I am literally cracking up at all of you calling people idiots for not liking taking the 150th ranked player in the 60's.

Are message boards always this homerish? Just because I love the team doesnt mean I will blindly love the crap picks they make.

I grew up in miami but live in Baton Rouge now and love watching all the lsu tiger games. Landry is a stud. Odell has had problems with drops. If the fans saw mettenberger throw a deep ball to Odell we would hold our breath hoping he wouldn't drop it but if it was going to Landry we would start cheering because we knew it would be a catch. We may have too many receivers now but we one for sure that May not have all the measurables but has all the heart and simply put is a football player.

James seems like he was a slight reach, but Landry was projected to go in the 2nd by most folks...

I don't think Turner was a reach either. He has added value for us because we can start him at guard and groom him as Albert's successor.

I get where you're coming from, but I think it's legitimate to have concerns about a receiver's athletic ability when we're fans of a team that has recently featured two starting wide receivers who can't stay on their damn feet after catching the football, and couldn't outrun the northbound end of a southbound garden slug.

Can Landry stay on his feet?

So..what was Terrel Owens 40 speed...or Jerry Rices?
