Miami Dolphins 2014 2nd round pick- Jarvis Landry

Are we cutting someone.. Is he better than Wallace Hartline Gibson Matthews? are we gonna run a spread O?

Gibson just lost his job as the slot WR and Hartline will now have serious competition as Tannehill's go to blankie.

He is not only slow, he was the slowest wr at the entire combine. At 5-11

Yes he produced playing with a great offense. Still a terrible pick. Slowest, as in none at the entire combine were slower. He didn't only do bad, he failed miserably

Was he dead last in every drill? If not dude, look at the tape and realize, speed isn't everything. Anquan Boldin is who he is being compared too. That's a good thing as Boldin ran a 4.7 40 also at the combine. I'll take it.

It's a stretch to compare him to Boldin physically. Perhaps attitude is what guys are thinking.

LMAO.

People blindly love Hickey now but he reached on three guys. We will be looking for a new gm shortly

I am literally cracking up at all of you calling people idiots for not liking taking the 150th ranked player in the 60's.

Are message boards always this homerish? Just because I love the team doesnt mean I will blindly love the crap picks they make.

Where are you getting that he's the 150th ranked player?

He looks pretty good. I love the toughness and strong hands. Looks like we just added a serious playmaker who will compete for everything.
I wanted Allen Robinson but we may have just picked up someone with better skills.

You might want to do a little more reading on him dude. He ran a 4.51 at his pro day. That matches his film not the 4.7 at the combine with a bad hammy. So, he is faster than Hartline. He is also a tough nosed player willing to block in the running game, go over the middle and make the contested catch with superb hands and body control. He could line up in the slot or on the outside. I'll take that. He is better than any WR Ireland drafted. That's for sure. Future starter. He might even take Hartline's job sooner rather than later.

Why are people focused on overrated 40 times like they matter?

How often to you see receivers running dead sprints for 40 yards?

You need guys like this who can accelerate quickly off the line, get into space and catch bullet passes a mere second or two after the ball has been snapped.

Jarvis Landry can be deadly on 3rd & 7 on a crossing route.

But, you guys keep focusing on clown stuff like 40 times.

Mayock's Pre Combine WR rankings (2.17.14):

Wide receiver
1. Sammy Watkins, Clemson
2. Marqise Lee, USC
3. Mike Evans, Texas A&M
4. Kelvin Benjamin, Florida State
5. Jarvis Landry, LSU

can't say i'm not thrilled hearing the names this guys being compared to: Boldin, McDuffie, Ward. We need the hard-nose over-the-middle guy. Wallace is the prima dona deep threat, Hartline is the sideline foot tap extraordinaire. Landry and a healed Gibson could be great chain movers.
