Miami Dolphins 4th round selection- Walt Aikens CB

Well, laptop thieves currently have a pretty good track record in the NFL...

Aikens came to Miami for a visit at the same time as Turner.

During the Senior Bowl practices, Liberty cornerback Walt Aikens was one of the prospects that captured the attention of the Miami Dolphins.

As a big (6 feet, 203 pounds), mobile cornerback who's also played free safety, Aikens is drawing middle-round grades and is regarded as a rising player.

The Dolphins could use reinforcements in the secondary after releasing Dimitri Patterson and losing free agents Nolan Carroll (Eagles), R.J. Stanford (Bengals) and Chris Clemons (Texans).

Walt Aikens on his goals: "I want to come in and compete... I want to be a dominating factor." #FinsUp

I have to say, as an athlete this guy looks pretty good. Good size and long arms. Several reports worry about his top-end speed but he clocked a 4.42 during his pro day and ran track.

At minimum, he's a project for a DC that does well developing CBs.

what a waste of a pick. would have liked LB/RB in the 4th

Was not surprised we picked him just surprised we picked him so early 5th to 6th round grade. Another's slight reach?
Heard he could play safety too with his size

CBS graded him as a third rounder. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

At least he didn't steal crab legs by doing a five finger discount at Publix.

I'd rather have a guy that would steal to eat than someone that steals another student's laptop. Either way, scumbag moves-- both of 'em.
