The key is consistent pressure, not just sack totals.
If they get a sack and then aren't around the QB for the next 15 plays, allowing him all day to throw, then it doesn't matter.
Look at what consistent QB pressure did late in the game yesterday. Buffalo's pass rush stepped it up (although they had to blitz) late in the game. Henne was hit or had the ball deflected on those INT's yesterday. Henne had people pressuring causing those INT's.
I would much rather have 1 sack and good pressure on 20 pass plays than having 4 sacks and pressure on just 3 other pass plays.
A pass rusher doesn't need 2 sacks to have a great game. Not when he is missing in action on the other 60 plays. You're a lot better off having a guy get just one sack but he is all around the field causing problems for the offense during the game.
It's all about a consistent pass rush.. not sack totals.
