The Miami Dolphins are giving their players a break from mandatory minicamp.

The team announced Thursday it canceled the final day of minicamp practice along with media availability.

It's not unusual, but hopefully Gase used the day to build some team chemistry buy scheduling something fun for the guys.

I would prefer to practice, but who knows the reason behind this decision. Perhaps a group team bonding bowling or ceramic class is in play.

I'm another one who wonders about missing practice time, the team didn't look particularly well coached last year with all the false starts miscue's etc....rookies needing time to adjust to new surrounds and get to know the veterans, work on timing between QB's receivers - work on many things that need work.....guess I always was under the impression some of these other teams figure out a way to practice longer and harder and that was one of the reasons we would get off to bad starts. CBA all ready limiting the time you have with them it's puzzling to me.

Don't see it as a big deal. There is only so much worthwhile to do without real contact or pads.

This is potentially good if they saw what they needed to see and decided not to risk a silly injury.

Its been brutally hot the last two days- I think this has been done before where the last day was canceled and they did another team activity together.

Missing a day of minicamp doesn’t amount to much in the end to me- lets all get ready for training camp.
