"Matt's strongest asset is the intangibles, not the tangibles," added his father, Alvin Flynn, who was a quarterback at Baylor in the late 1960s. "He's just very, very competitive. He wants to play, and he works his tail off. When he's had the opportunity to play, he's had the good fortune to play well."
Flynn has worked steadily at his craft, benefitting from coach Mike McCarthy's annual quarterback school as well as his relationship with Philbin and quarterbacks coach Tom Clements. Just last week, Rodgers told a Milwaukee radio station that it "makes sense" that he and Philbin be reunited with the Dolphins.Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall told The Sporting News at the Pro Bowl this past week that he's spoken to Flynn and told him he'd love to see him in South Florida. Butler said he could see the combination of Flynn, Philbin and Sherman making Marshall a much more productive player."He's going to catch 110 passes for 1,500 yards with 20 touchdowns," Butler said. "They're going to line him up all over and make sure everyone knows he's a No. 1 receiver. And Reggie Bush? They're going to put the whole offense on his back. There's no end to what Matt can do working with those guys in that offense."
Good read.
