Miami Dolphins DE Dion Jordan eager to make impact after yet another delay

Trade him now before its too late to get any value

Jordan is the perfect example of why we are mediocre for the last 5 yrs! A shifty GM jamming square pegs in round holes!

I never liked Jordan top 5 period, seems like a guy that should have been drafted lower but somehow thrills certain people in shorts. jNever saw him as this destructive force at Oregon. Good , solid player with potential but to me you don't draft that type of guy at number 3 overall.
He is definitely a 3-4 guy though and is so mismatched in a 4-3

in a 34 it's a different player and different return...this is gonna sound like a slight on derrick shelby who is a good player in his own right but you see where he was drafted cause he doesnt have high end physical tools...watching dion jordan come off the ball the other day vs the falcons it looked like derrick shelby but with not half as much polish or know how

jordan will do serious work in phllys 34 once he drops this bad weight he now carries...they are going to kill us on the value in return...he needs to play more in a 2 point stance...the 250 lb version is a freak athlete and he won't have to worry about poa strength in the run game paired with a 34 de taking heat off him

then the player will come out...

Im not sure what his value is anymore> I would estimate a 3rd round pick. I said it before I would not have drafted him at our original spot

I would do it sooner rather then later so guys like shelby and fede can get more development time by playing. I'm a big proponent of on the job training so to speak

philly would give you a 3 in a second for him...and they would promptly tell him to drop weight...in 2 months he'd shed a lot of that bad weight and next year you'd have an animal 34 olb in the 255 range...

I think he could be a good player in 3-4 just not some beast. The more I watched him at Oregon he just seemed a good player but not the player

Ireland outsmarted himself with this selection - had a drafted an Olineman or T. Austin we may have scored enough to get into the POs and he would still have a job!

he's got everything you'd look for in a 34 olb...and he could take more time to develop his pass rush...all while and this is key PLAYING EVERY DOWN for you...much better bang for your buck in a 34

I think we should have stayed pu . This draft was too full of similar rated players and who you draft at number three is not much better than who you draft at our pick

The move that did him in was the none move for big Albert. If he pulled the trigger we would have made the playoffs

Totally agree - and had he stayed put and put that extra second in the holster we very likely make the POs

I agree, and I was for one happy to fork over that 2nd for fat albert

i would not trade jordan right now though...i'd put him in the de rotation so we have a solid 2 deep unit and make a decision after this season...i'm just not expecting a major pass rush return for us that's all

i would probably though pull the trigger this offseason unless i planned on moving to a 34 soon
