Middle Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe hasn’t been as great as advertised this year but he’s been much better than Wheeler, & Koa Misi is ranked top 10 at his position by PFF as he is ever so solid on the Strongside. So adding Jordan to the back 3 of the front 7 may be the spark that brings some consistency to the the defense’s performance and allows him to provide more impact than he’s generated so far during his rookie year.

Supposedly, Jordan is going to see increased playing time against the Panthers, with most of it coming covering Greg Olsen and spying on Cam Newton. Hopefully the coaching staff’s epiphany equals a winning recipe

My only question is why it took these imbicels(I'm sorry, but this has been a consistent point of disdain I have had with this coaching staff) this long to figure this out.

We have been waiting for weeks to see more playing time from Dion Jordan. I'll believe it when I see it. Who announced to the world that this is the game? Either somebody is talking when they shouldn't or this is just speculation and if that's the case, the author should leave his/her speculating to his/her Fantasy Football team.

I honestly don't care where he plays. He needs to be on the field way more than he is. He's made plenty of impact in his limited time why not let it rip.

There's no way I keep trotting Wheeler out there at LB if I have Dion Jordan on the bench. Dion's a better tackler, better pass rusher, better in coverage . . . The Dolphins may want him to be a 3rd down DE, but he's better in a Von Miller role right now.

The last I heard coaching staff said they will continue to limit his playing time. I will agree we could sure use him in that role today. I see Cam moving around a lot and a major mismatch against our other LB!s.

This was posted about 10 days ago.

Despite trading up to draft Dion Jordan with the No. 3 overall pick, Dolphins defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle said Tuesday that Jordan will continue to see limited action this season.
Jordan appeared in just nine snaps — or 14 percent of Miami’s defensive plays — in Monday’s 22-19 loss to Tampa Bay. Even with the limited snaps, Jordan produced two hurries on six quarterback dropbacks. He also played on 66 percent of Miami’s special team snaps.
Tampa Bay is a run-heavy team, and Coyle said Jordan will continue to see action in passing situations only.
“Dion is not going to be in there where teams are slugging it out running the football,” Coyle said. “This team threw the ball 21 times in the game, and he was in there for half of them in the rotation that he’s playing in right now. If teams are going to be featuring certain personnel and running the football on first and second down, that’s not Dion’s strength at this point in his time here with us. That’s not going to change this season.”

And now this.

Frankly, Jordan should be on the field for every play he doesn't need off to take a breather. The guy can play DE, LB, and could probably fill in at Safety and do as well as Jones has in a few games this year.

Well we didn't think they would change up the snap count either to be fair

I'm shocked at how bad our depth at linebacker is that nobody can get Wheeler off the field. He is one of the worst NFL LBs I've seen in a while. I'm assuming Ireland watched a you tube highlight reel before giving him that contract. Nobody could watch him play every down and decide he was the answer.

I'm of the mind you put your best players on the field as much as possible. That means Jordan needs to be on the field somewhere, DE, OLB, I don't care.
