It was definitely the drop that stuck with Dolphins first-year head coach Adam Gase, following the 21-10 loss.

"I was a little disappointed that he put the ball on the ground," Gase said. "I feel like what he's shown me in the spring and in training camp as far as being a guy that is reliable in the passing game. I don't know the exact ball placement on second down – I'm not sure if it was behind him or if he dropped it – I know I have a lot of faith, even if the ball's off target, he usually makes that play. I know it's the fourth preseason (game). Everyone kind of looks at this game and shrugs their shoulders but any time you walk on that field it's important."
"I would've liked to see him not [fumble] – I don't think we saw a ball on the ground the entire preseason as far with the running backs. To have that happen, I guess I expect better from him. I have higher standards for him."

I have said this all along....he has no feel what so ever. He runs with some power in to the first thing he hits. He is almost spastic in his running style, like a ball of energy with no way to steer it.

I am disappointed too. He looked awful in the preseason, as did most of the Dolphins RBs. Better hope Arian Foster stays healthy.

Better be careful or Drake will see action over Ajayi

I've been saying this since the end of last season. Ajayi is not a lead back and is barely a viable back up, as evidenced by his averages. Was a HUGE mistake to let Miller go. Huge mistake

We do not draft hard-nosed tough players. We draft "nimble-footed ones" that like to dance in the hole and are not "really" into "blocking" at all.

there were similar concerns with ronnie brown and lamar miller early on. some backs come right in with that feel for the blocking (lol with this team), others have to grow into that patience. ajayi may never get there, but i'm not writing him off yet.

Agreed. Lamar Miller really didn't show much at first and if it weren't for all the U fans giving him grace the board would have been worse than it is now. A little patience is justifiable here IMO.

The same Foster that's averaging less than one yard per carry on his small handful of attempts?

I saw enough from drake in one game to want to see more. If he can stay healthy we could have something
