Miami Dolphins: fire Tony Sparano now to give 2012 hope, fill seats

Cause clearly we are not the laughing stock of the league now.

This team has two games on MNF this year and also a Thanksgiving game. That's a pretty good barometer for how we are perceived. But I'm not gonna do any more to spoil your pity party, if you really think we are a laughingstock right now then you'll enjoy the nearly winless season that will come out of abandoning ship two weeks into the season, especially considering that the likely interim coach has a far worse record (18-37) than Sparano.

If we lose to the Browns this week, I think thats going to seal Tony's fate. If not, Ross should take a class in common sense. Selling parts of the team to celebs, bringing in celebs to sit in your booths, is not going to sell tickets and generate revenue. Putting a winning team on the field, is the ONLY answer to making money and selling out home games, in any sport.

Going into week 4 at San Diego, is another likely loss, being we match up horrible against pass attacking offenses. If tomorrow is a loss, Tony really should be fired after the SD game. An interim coach would not be the end of the world, it would serve as a great measuring stick to just how bad Tony really is "was" as a head coach.

In 2004 when Wanny was fired after a 1 - 8 record, Jim Bates didn't do a bad job, going 3 - 4. The players played harder and with alot more "fire" under Bates that year, than what Wanny was able to put together.

Making a move after a possible 0 - 4 start, would be the right thing to do in my opinion.
