Miami Dolphins has the worst front office in the NFL

I think the Patriots being named the best is worse than the Dolphins being called the worst. Apparently, sanctioning and defending known cheating and scandals is acceptable and advisable as long as you win. Kraft, Belichick, and Brady are all cheating scum. One lies and the others swear to it!

The moves from 2009 to 2013 have really sunk this franchise. 2013 was one of the worst drafts this team has ever had, and the repeat free agent failures compounded issues as well.

I still don't think we're worse than Cleveland.

completely agreed.

Tannenbaum isn't the worst GM in the league, period. He has experience, he's had success before, he knows the job, and he knows his colleagues for trading purposes. He is also young, adapting, and learning. This team has a history of giving up on GM's before they are fully developed (see #8 Rick Speilman). Front office talent must be developed not bought. Tannenbaum has potential and has shown improvement. Is he top-10? No, but he also didn't run off Jim Harbaugh nor work in MLB.

Ross isn't the 4th worst owner in the league. He too has been learning on the job and has been willing to finance salaries and improvements. Ross also isn't typically a meddler. His stadium improvements and willingness to go to London just netted Miami another Superbowl hosting. Again, maybe he isn't one of the best owners but he remains senile, interested, and available (and out of rehab).

Gase=27th? I'm good with that. As a rookie he ranks higher than several veteran coaches, which is a tribute to his OC successes and HC upside.

OC/DC=31? How do you rank these guys any higher, yet, as they are both rookie coordinators?

This article reeks a bit of Dolphins hatred or disgruntled Dolphins fan, rather than being objective. Miami has a long way to go but this year's FO has shown the ability to work with the coaches, to draft for scheme, and to not overspend during FA. Giving a more objective grade to Owner and GM raises Miami to probably 25th based on their coaching inexperience. With coaching success, the Dolphins could then jump to the middle of the pack (with Buffalo?? and the Jets?).

Years of fools making key decisions will do that for you. Parcells and company got a lot of mileage out of turning a team that won one game into a playoff team. After that offseason we kept making terrible decisions and never got better only worse. Hopefully the people making decisions now make the right ones

 the cancer. Mike Tannenbaum took over in 2015 and inherited a lame duck HC and a mediocre QB. From 2009-2014 the Miami Dolphins never made the playoffs, from 2002 to 2014 they made it ONE time, from 2001 to 2014 they didn't have a single playoff win but Mike Tannenbaum is the cancer.

we were never in "cap hell", that is 100% false.

call it luck, call it what you want but you guys would kill to have that success we had under him.
Your "man crush" was GM of the NYJ from 2006-2012. During that period the team had a record of 57-55, the definition of mediocrity. He signed a contract extension through 2014, but Woody Johnson realized his mistake and fired him in 2012 before he could drive that team into the ground.

Just one more idiotic assessment I'd love to see proven wrong this year.

Putting "THE CHEATERS" at the top!!!!! LOL

Well done.

We certainly know what mind set is behind this!

BNF.

Rex Ryan knows how to coach defense. Those Jets teams weren't as good as they seemed based on the level they made it to in the playoffs. Tannenbaum wasn't the wizard behind the curtain that magically made the whole thing work.

That being said, he is what he is. He likes swingin for the fences and I hope he makes our roster a good one. We have no choice now.

As compared to hiring a mediocre, glorified DC as coach, drafting a subpar QB and then trading a 4th and cash for another one? LOLOL

My fervent hope is that Bill Polian rejoins some contending team that has the season locked up by game 15 and thinks so little of us, as at best, an 8-8 mediocre team, that again he instructs his HC to pull the starters when ahead after the half and insert a scrub QB that later on secured Andrew Luck for the Colts.

during that stretch we made 3 playoff apps and made 2 title games and were one of the better teams in the AFC and it is success you guys would kill for. We only had 2 losing seasons in his time here one being his final season and one his 2nd season when we had Kellen Clemens as our primary starter. I discuss the man realistically, he's certainly not great but it is comical how fans of a team that have played one playoff game since 2002 and won one playoff game since 2000 can bash a guy and pretend he is the worst in the league that built 2 legitimate SB contenders.

he brought in the players, he gave Mangini a good roster to win in 2008 and Mangini failed, Rex took over and it worked for a few years. You have to give the man some credit.

That is Tann'bum's one saving grace, he hired a good head coach and if he did the same thing here it will extend his shelf life a couple more years than he deserves

Does this make any sense to anyone else here? If the team looks better on paper than they do on the field then that's says to me that the players are pretty good, and Somebody in the front office got those players on the team did they not? The piss poor play of talented players can be attributed bad coaching, injuries, or just weak minded players who don't give it 100%. There are other teams out there that have been worse than us and made worse decisions.

What I think is that the players looked good in a vacuum. With Ireland, they just didn't fit in the team and system. Other times they are big names, like Suh, that make it seem as though we have more talent than we actually do. Back when we had those "big" offseasons it seemed like we had a lot of talent when we didn't. This year we went about it so clumsily that no one is fooled.

I am always told that rex sucks though so I need to ask one question:

If we had a terrible GM, terrible HC, terrible QB how did we almost make 2 SBs?
