Miami Dolphins have right coaches to groom talent

The Dolphins' coaches overcame their inexperience with their players and each other. They overcame a lingering losing culture that swallowed good coaches that came before them -- Nick Saban chief among them.

This coaching staff even overcame issues more serious than football -- yes, there are some -- when linebackers coach Jim Reid missed part of the season recovering from heart disease.

The only hint we got last season suggesting Tony Sparano's assistants are not, in fact, miracle workers is that they couldn't make Jason Allen a contributor on defense.

I agree, this year should be his coming out year, if he's to show anything at all, but he does have some stiff competition, if he starts we know he's for real..

on the topic of JA...... think he survives the roster now ? Will Allen is without a doubt our #1 corner. After that it get's puzzling... JA, Davis, and Smith all battling for #2, nickle, and dime !! How many corners wil we keep ? We know Jason can play some special teams. I really thought he'd break out this upcoming season, but now we have two other investments with priority over him ! I still think he's a FS.

What do you guys think about trading Will this offseason ?? Dont get me wrong im a fan of his, i was one of the VERY few people who defended this signing back in Saban's days, as I'm familiar with the Giants. We could probably get atleast a 3rd for him. We NEED picks for next year class !

Nope not at all...a vetern corner is a great luxury to have when we have 2 rooks at CB,, so wait to see if he wants a good contract then play with him

Jason Allen is garbage. He's our second Eddie Moore. We need to stay the hell away from Tennessee Vols at all costs unless they have been in the league for awhile.

I wouldn't do it. Miami needs a veteran CB to help the rooks out with the transition to the NFL.

having a veteran player to mentor the rookies and help them transition into the NFL is a good thing to have. Teach them the little things and stuff.

I believe Will Allen is a free agent after this season
and I don't know the rules per say but I don't think we can trade a free agent after the season is over

All the way up to that broncos game when Brandon Marshall beat him for like a 60 yard touch down.....even thoe it didn't count and was ruled back for offensive pass interference, which i think wasn't t all, but still it showed he isnt a cornerback in the nfl getting burnt by a 4.6 wide reciver i cant imagine what a 4.3 guy would do to him 1 on 1

That has been being said for the past 3 years. I'm tired of waiting on Jason Allen.
