he Dolphins' five wide receivers have combined for two touchdown catches in eight games this season. Chris Chambers, claimed off waivers by Kansas City last week after being released by San Diego, had two touchdowns catches his first game with the Chiefs -- after two days of practice with his new team.
Although all of Miami's wide receivers have combined for two touchdown catches, 37 NFL receivers have caught at least three this season.
The Dolphins are 29th in the NFL in passing yards per game and 29th in yards per pass play.
Miami's wide receivers have caught only two passes of 25 yards or more and its runners have delivered twice as many rushing plays of 25 or more yards.
So in today's NFL, where the top teams are throwing the ball more than ever, and more successfully than ever, the Dolphins are a throwback.

How many articles do they need to write on the WR situation? We get it. Everyone gets it.

Besides it isn't like the Phins can do anything about the WR position now anyway except for Turner being activated

Hey, if we can be a competitive team without WR's just imagine when we finally get some...

It's a little troubling that our WR corps is so bad, yet it seems like our coaching staff is doing little about it, Sporano has to justify why Turner is not getting a change by pulling out 3rd down conversion stats, Henning is comparing Ginn to Jesus Christ for the way the media and fans scrutinized him, and the trade deadline passed with no apparent activity from Miami. And then when Chambers fell into our laps, we passed again on a receiver.

Would Chambers have made a difference? Would a trade have helped? I don't know. What I do know is that it all adds to the troubling trend of this coaching staff not seeming to want to do anything abot our major deficiency.

Of course maybe some moves were attempted and we don't know it, but with a solid WR corps this season, I think this team is one to two wins better. The WR corps we have know is on the shoulders of this coaching staff and Ireland/Parcells.

This post is a classic example of someone crying and complaining for the sake of it and not actually knowing what they speak of!!!!

C.Chambers was picked up on waivers so we had no chance to pick him up, none, notta, zilch. Cry all you want about not making trades but this FO does not give up picks unless the value is great compared to what your giving up i.e the Akin,Fasano and Fergy trades.

This team has a newly aquired case of the droppsies this was not the case last season. There is a pretty good case for the FO that they thought Ginn would be better this year and with Bess, Cam and Fasano that we actually had a decent WR core for a team that was going to run the ball 60 to 70 percent of the time.

TS explained that it was more then just 3rd down conversions for not activating Turner it was that of any players that you want to deactivate they have more then back up duties they also have ST duties and because Turner can't play ST's you would hurt the team more then help it.

One thing that drives me crazy here is the thought of activating a rookie WR is going to solve our problems at WR. That's just absurd, getting the ball to Bess and Fasano to get them over their drops would help more then not getting them the ball at all.

If this FO does nothing this offseason then I see a reason to question them. Bringing in two new receivers to compete would be a great idea, a new TE that can stretch the field would also be ideal.

Chambers didn't "fall in our laps" KC claimed him we never had a chance to get him.
