Virtually every NFL player says the same thing, when asked about winning games:
We need to run effectively.
We need to stop the run.
The assumption is that if a team does those two things, it will give itself a good shot at victory.
The Dolphins have done those two things relatively well through the first three games.
They are 0-3.
"That's where it comes in, that you have to focus even harder," Jason Ferguson said. "That's like a phase of the game, stop the run, run the ball. Now, protect the ball. Now, protect the end zone. You've still got to be able to do that too. We've just got to stay focused through the whole game. We'll be a lot better off. And it's correctable. It's not like we've got some weak guys. It's correctable. We've just got to stay focused and play hard. Not just play and play smart."
