The Miami Dolphins could be having another overhaul if the team loses on Sunday to the Jets, according to a report by Armando Salguero.

This isn’t unexpected if we are being realistic. Stephen Ross views his window of winning a Super Bowl as a small one. He attempted to make bold moves last year with Bruce Beal that triggered an investigation by the league and resulted in his suspension, a massive fine, loss of draft picks, and Beal being removed as the owner-in-waiting.

Why? Because he wants Sean Payton. Because he wants Tom Brady. Because he wants to win and no longer has the patience to let everything develop in front of him.

In 2019, he gave Chris Grier full authority to dismantle the roster and rebuild with Brian Flores. That didn’t go well. Draft picks were wasted, free agent money was not well spent, trades made have not worked out and Grier himself saddled himself with a quarterback who has had two known concussions and potentially a third, this year alone.

I don't think Mcdaniel should be fired, but Boyer and Grier definitely need to go but I don't want a new GM to have to be forced to have McDaniel as his coach. IF it has to happen it has to be everyone. No stragglers, that's been part of the problem. We need a GM AND HC that are both on the same page.
 
At a minimum, they need to look at replacing the DC and special teams coach. Even taking injuries into consideration, the defense has struggled this year with the basics like making a tackle and having a CB cover a receiver instead of a LB.

They should also bring in an experienced coach to mentor McDaniel and teach him the finer points of being a HC - clock and timeout management, making halftime adjustments and the like.

Overall, the team has been very lackluster and taken on the personality of the coach, which is not a good thing.

I am willing to give McDaniel and Tua a pass for this year but would expect improvement/durability next year or they would be the next ones out the door.
 
I would be upset if we fired McDaniel. He’s the first coach we’ve hired that I think has shown promise. Definitely had some rookie mistakes but he seems very driven and would evaluate everything that went wrong in the offseason. I’ve never liked Sean Payton. I really don’t want him here.
 
McDaniel: Playoffs or bust.
Boyer/Crossman: GTFO regardless.

And I’m pretty done with Chris Grier. He’s had his opportunity now to run the show his way and while he made one of the GOAT trades and made up some for the 2020 draft in 2021…. Overall, very underwhelming and he’s wasted a ton of resources. With the resources he’s had at his disposal since the rebuild, there is no reason why this team shouldn’t be on the cusp of becoming a perennial contender.

I am good with a full house cleaning tbh. Bring in a competent GM and let him make a decision on the staff. I’m also okay with McDaniel sticking around with an experienced proven DC and a new special teams coach, and perhaps an OC with more control. But winning on Sunday is imperative in that regard.

However, if the price to be paid for sending Chris Grier into the shadow realm is firing the entire coaching staff? Sorry, Mike. Nice knowing ya, fun offense, and I'm gonna miss it. But Bozo's got to go.


Sean Payton is a washed up drug addict, by the way.

Buffalo whip are ass in flores era McDaniel made defense's adjust to are speed we are building a offense that's exciting we beat some good teams if you fire the coach in first year then everyone should go but I think wes welker sam Madison are good for this team goin forward **** Sean Payton he walk out his team when put them in cap hell and **** Tom Brady a knowing cheater we build in house all quick fix like Ross wants is one year wonder Super Bowl Don Shula made us one most respected franchises in football we have young team are time closer now then it's been in a long time McDaniel made us exciting to watch again I back him we need a all-star running back if offense is out sink you can win with run game and Vic Fangio and another offensive tackle I think where close buffalo is favorite to win the Super Bowl we split with them if we where healthy this would be a different conversation and where not done yet we beat the Jets it's one game at a time linebacker is a need to but will see what they do in the draft boyer has to go he's the last disease of the Patriots we brought in
 
Good old Armando… I think his move to this other website was lateral at best
