DAVIE – Miami Dolphins kicker
Andrew Franks shanked a 37-yard field goal try at the end of the first half on Thursday night, but he’s not worried.
“That one was on me,” Franks said. “I mi**** a ball. It’s going to happen. No one is perfect. I’m glad it was in preseason and not in the game. You know, my body of work during training camp proves I can be consistent. If that’s my one detriment this camp I’ll take it.”
The Dolphins aren’t worried either. This week, they cut rookie Marshall Koehn, his competition.
“It’s nice that the team values me enough that they think I can be the guy moving forward,” Franks said. “I was the guy last year. This year is a good jumping point. I have seen improvement.
