Don’t be fooled. The Rams are more desperate to trade the No. 2 pick than teams are to land Robert Griffin III. The Rams need plenty of talented players, and don’t have the assets (cap space, draft picks) to make it happen. They would be smart to trade the No. 2 pick before Peyton Manning is released on March 8, and free agency starts on March 13 because by then there will be less teams bidding. The Dolphins should make one solid offer in a take it or leave it manner, and have a date where it’s off the table.
