Yeah, It is going to help until he gets hit and goes down with another injury. I have been a UF fan for 42yrs. and was thrilled when we drafted him, but I have no confidence that he can stay healthy.

Keeping Pouncey at his best throughout this season was going to be a challenge, even without the unexpected first-week bye.
The plan has been for Pouncey to participate in a very limited fashion, no more than every other day, in Dolphins practices, as he recovers from a hip injury.
And it turns out the extra week of rest, and a preseason plan of lots of extra rest, is a benefit to Pouncey.

He worked out twice in 8 days? Wow, he really pulled out all the stops to make sure the Hurricane disruption didn't affect his conditioning.

I'm rooting for him but how the hell is this guy going to hold up? How is he going to be any good if he's hardly practicing? Guess we'll see.

Pouncey playing 16 straight games will be a miracle

16 would indeed be a miracle. I'll consider 12 games total with postseason availability (if we make the playoffs) a surprise. Expecting about 6-8 and then out for the season.

What this tells me is he isn't completely recovered from surgery because he hasn't been practicing. The idea was he isn't hurt we are just trying to keep him healthy for the entire season but now we realize he needed the extra time. So all this was because he is still recovering from surgery and not because we are trying to keep him healthy for the entire season. that is one long ass recovery period.

How many series he played during preseason? How many practices he attended? Now he need extra rest!

This guy is such an important piece in the success of this team. The oline is drastically better with him. Hope he can last this season. Would be a miracle of sorts.

like it or not we will need to trade laudry for a good OL man

You may get hate for this but its absolutely a great move. Gotta protect the QB and WR is one of the deepest position groups on the team.

Don't get me wrong, Landry is a great player and brings intensity to the game but he's not worth what he and his agent will ask for. He is no Dez Bryant, AJ Green or Julio Jones. He's expendable at his position especially with needs at OL for this team. It's a tough decision that a great FO and HC have to make but it is better for the team in the long-run to get rid of Landry instead of over-paying a good player.
