• Numerous Dolphins players acted as Jets players this week. In fact, at least six players switched jerseys this week to add to the element. In the role of Jets defensive end John Abraham was Bryant McNeal, who plays on the practice squad. Derrick Pope played Jets linebacker Eric Barton, Wes Welker was wide receiver Wayne Chrebet, Bryan Gilmore as wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery, Maurice Mann as Justin McCareins, Will Heller as tight end Doug Jolley and Jesse Chatman as running back Curtis Martin.

• Saban said that as part of not thinking too much about being on the road, the team will do its walk-through practice at the team's training facility and then fly to New York. The team will not go through a practice at Giants Stadium, unlike how Dolphins teams in the past normally did business.

''We'll do all of our on-field work here and then board the plane and have the meetings at the hotel,'' Saban said. ``Keep it as close to a normal Saturday as possible.''

What's up with that? Sorry if it has already been posted.

I thought Sabans comments were funny in reference to the reporters trying to take roll in practice.

its no big deal, they just try to practice and do the things that these players do, i just dunno if Bryant McNeal can copycat John Abraham

I'm fairly sure all the teams do that, making their players act as they are players from the team that they are playing that week.

I'm sure that alot of teams do that...

I just don't recall hearing anything that DW did it at all...

I don't remember hearing DW doing anything like that in practice. Did we do that last week before the Broncos game?
