Is it me or does it seem john beck has been training the hardest this offseason to become the starting qb. Im expecting to see a whole different qb when we see him.

John Beck! Hes comin back!
With a solid run game, which we should have, and a solid interior, Ginn coming into his 2nd. year, whom I think is going to blossom into something special. Good possesion, red zone type guys in Wilford and Fasano and maybe Hagan can finally develop into something this year. This should help Beck now show us for real what he's got and help with his development.
All of the above and his man crush Matt Ryan wasn't drafted, he has been on the I hate Beck, Henne for president ever since.

who cares rook? what has john beck done to prove otherwise anyway? i mean come on, i like hearin about all this training stuff with beck but i'd much rather like to see it on the field instead of hear about it. once that happens, i'll throw my fist up and stop the hate!

I just hope our first game of the year Beck is starting and not Mccown. We know Henne wont get the chance because he is a rookie and I'd rather see how much improvement Beck has done this offseason. We have seen Mccown for years on other teams and it hasnt impressed me.

You know, it's easy to read too far into these things, but this is actually the first thing I've read about Beck that I didn't like. He sort of blames his team and his teammates for his bad play. He admits to getting rattled and wanting too badly to impress. He admits to wanting to impress Parcells.
Consider the difference between this mindset and Marino's, who didn't admit until after he retired that the fact that he was passed over by so many teams in the draft bothered him.
Who knows? Perhaps Harvey just caught Beck in a weak mood, but this article doesn't portray him in the best light.

It's nice to hear that Beck is making the most of his time, and that he's striving to improve his game, but he's still got loads more to prove before winning / earning the starting job. His work is far from over, and the training camp competition hasn't even begun yet....
Personally, I don't really care who the starting QB is anymore, as long as the coaches make the correct decision when it comes to naming one, that's all that matters in my opinion...
