Bridgewater, born in Miami and once a star at Northwestern High School, was intrigued by the idea of playing for his hometown Dolphins, I’m told by multiple league sources. So there was mutual interest.

But that desire on both sides cooled when the Dolphins found out Bridgewater wanted $15 million for a one-year deal. And as that’s starting quarterback type money, even if it is on the low end of the scale, and as the Dolphins already had a starting quarterback in Ryan Tannehill, the talks didn’t go any further than this:

That 15 mil part is a bit misleading because that’s with bonuses, guarantees etc. The Jets guaranteed him 500k I think. 15 mil is incentive laced. Even if he was the back up he must be better than Fales

15m for a backup with a destroyed knee that makes Tannehill's look perfect?

The devils in the details.....how much of this was guaranteed vs. performance based. I'm guessing he was asking for an unreasonable guaranteed amount.....

Wouldn’t shock me if Moore returns. Doubt Jets keep 3 QBs-TB or McCown could be released, RG3 also an option. Fales and Os are terrible

This article is another “damage control” piece for the front office. Knew that before clicking it once I saw “Armando and Herald”.

Only $500k guaranteed. $5 million base (above average backup money) and yea escalators and workouts elevate to $15 million but at that point Ryan Tannehill would of had to of went down and Bridgewater would need a hell of a season to reach the max.

We gave Cutler $10 million guaranteed.

This article is **** but that is no surprise. Armando goes on to explain how the Suh contract crippled this teams inability to build properly . . . .yet forgets to mention this regime also restructured the deal and already had a similar rebuild in 2015 when they cut dead weight. Plus what does the cap situation have to do with not drafting a decent prospect in Three Gase drafts?

The Carroo trade up crippled us more than Suh but wait that would just be more bad press for the FO so let’s not mention that in the article.

Can't imagine they would release McCown unless they get no offers for Teddy which I doubt. If he looks good in next game Jets will have set themselves up alright, wish the Fins would do something to get vs give when it comes to players.

I think Teddy got 5mil, 500 guaranteed 1 year with a ceiling at 15 incentive laden.

Hell no to Moore, that ship finally sailed .

Teddy and Ryan have the same career QB rating...yet Ryan had the resume for Miami to give him 20+ million...

Yea I mean lol if some believe there is this huge gap between the two.

The knee injury from a Teddy is worrisome but he was a rising QB in this league before injury and he is still only 25 years old. Crazy.
