What I get from this is that Sherman never saw the need to score more points to begin with in the previous weeks. Maybe I am wrong, but I am of the mentality that you try to score as many points and not only defeat the opponent, but demoralize them also. You just do not do this in particular games, but this is a consistent theme of your ball club. You do not let up until the final whistle or until there is a minute left and you have a 40 pt. lead. This mentality of keeping it close to the vest and winning it at the end more often than not winds up with a L in the tally.
