Miami Dolphins release Cortland Finnegan

The Miami Dolphins today released veteran cornerback Cortland Finnegan.

Finnegan, who had been signed by the Dolphins as a free agent on March 18, 2014, recorded 44 tackles (33 solo), nine passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 2014. A nine-year veteran, Finnegan had played with the St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans prior to joining the Dolphins.
