I am confused by the way that internet hearsay has Dolphin fans in panic. It seems that the moves that teams within our division have made have made us all lose a sense of reality. Spending big money does not always equal big results.

The Bills only off-season signing worth note was Terrell Owens. Is all the frenzy about what the guy can do on a football field or the diva he has become off the field? Terrell Owens is among the league leaders in drops every season and is a major reason why things went South in Dallas. When "T.O" plays in frigid tempatures in Buffalo he will become the dvia crybaby he is. The fact of the matter is that Trent Edwards was good for the first quarter of last season but after that he regressed terribly and looked like a 2nd year Quarterback.

The Jets signed Bart Scott, Marques Douglas, and Jim Leonardwho all played for Rex Ryan in Baltimore but let's be honest Leonard is a role-player, Douglas is average at best, and they overpaid a great deal for bart Scott. Bart Scott will be like former Ravens' cast-off's Ed Hartwell and Jamie sharper; their careers went South fast once they left Baltimore. It is easy to look good when your defense is stacked with Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Trevor Pryce, and Haloti Ngata. They lost their best offensive receiver in La. Coles, Kellen Clemmons is a joke as a starter. and Vernon Gholston is afraid of contact. Trading for Lito Sheppard wasa good move but there has to be a reason that he didn't see the field in Philly.

The Patriots are in every rumor about acquiring players but they lost Mike Vrabel who was their best linebacker, Tom Brady and Adalius thomas are coming off on injures, and they have noone to play safety. Brandon Merriweather has never blossomed into the player they though and has become their version of Jason Allen. Shawn Springs has not done anything in the last decade besides be embarrassed by Terrell owens on Monday Night Football. Leigh Boddon had no market and had to settle for a one year deal. I mean the Lions didn't even want this guy. Joey Galloway they signed to a one year deal. how did he do last season? that's right he didn't play. Chris Baker is a backup Tight End at best and wouldn't even make our roster. Fred Taylor was a decent signing but it shows they have no faith in Maroney and if Taylor lives up to his fantasy name as Fragile Fred than they are right back where they started, They do have 4 day one draft picks and will have a solid draft. I know everyone is scared that they will acquire Peppers but they will have to pay a significant price to do so and we will ignore this until it actually happens.

Our team is better than it was last year. We kept our own key players in Vernon Carey, Yeremiah Bell, and Crowder. We took the same free agency approach we took last year which seem to pay huge dividends. We made quality signings of Gibril Wilson, Jake Grove, Joe Berger, and do not forget about Cameron Wake. Eric Green we signed to take over for Andre Goodman; Goodman had a good season for us but his past was not too solid in my eyes.

I feel like everyone pays too much attention to the rumors and not enough to the reality. What if jay Cutler goes to the Jets, What if Anquan Boldin goes here, What if Peppers is a Patriot? What if we acquire Cutler?

Let's focus on what we do have and what we can attain in April via the draft. The draft and not trading for players is the way to build a solid team for a long period of time

It's natural. It's a "grass is greener" mentality that honestly affects most people in every aspect of their lives.

In my opinion, all of the teams in the AFC East have made some progress. It's not like we're being left behind by any of these teams. Everyone has done well in regards to staying competitive. No worries....

IN TUNA WE TRUST....

The one thing I love this year about our team is OL growth, we've kept the OL and added to it. Year 2 with the same guys should pay some dividends along with the additions. This is the case for me, if the O stays on the field, then I don't care who the other teams add to their O.. hopefully they won't be on the field..

The team has consistency for the first time in years. The stability with the FO and Sparano will pay bigger dividends then most free agents the team could sign. Getting everyone to trust in what they are doing and keep the same mentality acquired last year is a BIG PLUS.

I agree. We do need to have a solid draft though. With Ierland and Parcells making the picks. I think we will be ok.

Nice post.. but u also have to realize that the Pats did finish 11-5 without brady last year.. the Jets would have won the division if Favre wasnt Favre (doesnt make much of a difference now tho because now they have no one), and the bills are still decently solid and showed some promise in the begining of the year and yes i agree TO will wreck that team but not next year, so he does pose a threat and could cost us a game or 2..

What it looks like fellas that we are in one hell of division right now, and I would say the best in the league by the looks of it... yes everyone is getting better and it will be a real battle for the AFC east crown this year

I get sick of everyone gushing over the Patsies every year....they haven't won crap in 4+ years and most of the key players in their SB years are either gone, retired or traded away. Everyone says the Pats will be better because Brady is coming back....he may never be the QB he was before. I don't get it? Quit being a Pat's apologist or take off your Phin's jersey and become a Pats/Jets/Bill's/___?__/ fan.

So damn true .......It's March....Look what happenend last year when we got Pennington during Pre season...Everything just kept getting better and better.

Free agency is not over yet.

Wait till summer when they start really evaluating what need we still need after seeing the new guys play.

Things will change.

Remember last year when we needed a tight end.....not this year.
Remember last year when we didnt even have a starting quarterback anyone liked.....not this year. (Cleo Lemmon...Really!)
Remember last year when we were wondering if bell and ronnie could ever get onto the field for a whole season....not this year.
Remember last year when we hated our last coach and the 3 before that.....not this year.
Remember last year when we were thinking no stars would want join the 1-15 fins.....not this year made the playoffs.

Get my point.....sOME ISSUE HAVE BEEN FINALLY ADDRESSED......OHHH THINGS ARE STILL WAAAAYYYY BETTER NOW.
