Henne needs to throw the ball away more often and avoid sacks.

Chad Pennington was sacked 24 times in 16 games last season. Henne has already been sacked 14 times in a little more than four games, including five Sunday in New York.

This isn’t a subpar offensive line we’re talking about. For the most part, Henne has had time, but spends that extra second or two looking for a receiver when he should be feeling the pressure and throwing the ball away.

It wouldn’t hurt to have offensive coordinator Dan Henning have Henne roll out more often, thus forcing defenders to chase him down. Hopefully, as he gets more comfortable and starts seeing the field better, he’ll manage the game better. That means getting sacked less often.

Forget throwing it away, how about checking down? We need to get R&R & Fasano more involved in the passing game to help him out.

He checks down plenty especially in the first half.
It seems like he thinks he is faster than he really is

Our receivers just arent getting open, especially Fasano. He's not that great at getting open.

It all comes down to WRs. Without a consistent WR to throw to, our running game can't get going. When our running games struggles, we get into third and longs that our offense simply isn't capable of converting. Get a guy who can get open and catch and our offense will be as good as it's been since Marino.

It's nice to see that he is very tough taking lots of hits and getting right back up, but please throw the ball away more.

Henne looks great on roll-outs, we should do it more often.

I think Marino could beat him in a foot race though, the kid is super slow.

Pocket awareness...hopefully it will develop over time.

Then again Big Ben gets sacked plenty and he ain't so bad is he?

There has been numerous times where Chad Henne has held on to the ball too long, sure.

But he is essentially a "rookie" QB... playing time considered, anyways.

Chad Pennington was sacked 6 times in 2 1/2 games as well. Those are not exactly impressive numbers, either.

I agree that Henne hasn't been the quickest to release the ball, but the offensive line and perhaps the offensive scheme hasn't been perfect, either.

We need better hot routes.

Valid point that can be chalked up to growing pains. He trys to do too much with the ball, and he pays for it. With that said, I would rather take a sack than throw an interception.

I'm fine with checking down to anyone but Fasano at this point. I was expecting big things for that player, have no idea what happened over the last few months but he's clearly playing his way out of a roster spot.

Henne has started 4 games. Does he have room to improve? Sure, but the fact is he's playing above and beyond reasonable expectations, hes making alot of big time throws in clutch situations. Pocket awareness can come with experience, just needs the game time reps.

I think Henne just holds it a little too long, but I would rather Henne take the sack
then trying to force the ball in to a wide receiver.......Jay Fiedler was good at that, and the ball usually got taken the other way down the field for a Pick Six.

I think Henne is progressing well. I can't remember the last time I felt good about the Dolphins future quarterback situation. If they had a big play receiver, they could really open up their playbook.
