Miami Dolphins To Start Kelvin Sheppard At Linebacker

Eh id prefer to have Misi going but i don't think he is or ever will be that devastating of a loss. On the flip side if Jenkins can't go, that's bad news.
 
Hayden said Sheppard is decent vs the run, so maybe theres hope in that regard. Vs the pass though..... Brady could light the hell out of the middle of the field
 
We could have the Seahawks secondary and it wouldn't matter with these lbs we are running out there tomorrow...
 
Well it wasn't like the starters were lighting it up.

Excuse my ignorance, I don't know much about Sheppard. However, I'm genuinely surprised that Jordan Tripp doesn't get more playing time, with all the injuries to our LBs. Tripp can play all LB positions but if he's not being looked at with Koa Misi and Jelani Jenkins out injured, this says that Coyle doesn't consider him ready for the NFL.
 
I'm terrified of Trusnik. I doubt Tripp could be worse.

Staying healthy is a skill. I'm not sure what is up with Misi in that regard. There's a reliability problem.
 
I think losing Misi for Sheppard is a bigger blow for the pass rush than anything else. From what I have heard Sheppard can play the run and any play Misi would be matched up on Gronk, Edelman, or Vereen was going to be bad news anyway. I wish Tripp got the start over Trusnik for Jenkins though. I would question how good can Smith be if he is stuck behind Wheeler and Trusnik on the depth chart of a team starved for run defense, but Dallas Thomas still has a starting job...

I was surprised to see Trusnik get so many snaps, last week. He is deceptively big and actually looked pretty good on some plays. (I went to the game and had to check the program and was surprised that the good play was from Trus). My concern is his lack of speed, his actual tackling is pretty good. Jimmy Wilson is coming in to replace Delmas and he's slow too.
 
We're going into this game with an obvious weakness at the Lb position so according to past history of how this team operates we won't even notice the weakness from the lb'ers tomorrow instead another position group is going to blow up right in front of our face. Zero consistency with this team.

Trusnik has always been physical its everything else about the game that he lacks.
