1.Cornerback- with Goodman still shopping around his services ,MD #1 need is Starting CB on the opposite side of Will Allen.

2.Outside Linebacker-Pass rush ,pass rush,pass rush,is needed,a young speedster on the outside

3.Center-replace Samson with a little more size, and a little more power

4.Wide Receive - young fast , big body WR with great hands
seen any lately

5.Middle Linebacker-back-up Channing and Akin

6.Tackle-back-up Long and Carey

Exactly my thoughts, too.

I hope we can sign a good cornerback in Free Agency, because then we can draft bpa in the Draft.
And we need good Corners given our "success" against the spread offense last year.

IMO this draft is thin at CB unfortunatley.i just don't see a player like antoine cason (#27 last year) in the first round available to us.

I'm making out my second best ever mock draft
and you are right CB are very very thin .
But it may be b/c of there combine slow 40 time.

which all the Coach ,GM,and scout question the accuracy .

No NT??????????
The MOST important position in the 3-4.

forgot NT too

But I doubt we can get one early in the Draft without reaching.
Maybe they find a guy later in the Draft, like they did in Dallas with Ratliff.

Peria Jerry is very intruiging. He is undersized, but thats the mold for a BP NT. Ratcliff, Fergy are undersized. If he is there i think it s a thought, especially with no clear cut absolute need at a pos. there is no corner worth taking with 25.

I may need to replaces wr at 4th with NT.
but are we really that down Paul Soliai

maybe so.......:rimshot:

i would prolly drop OLB and up C 2nd, NT 3rd and OLB 4th. only because of the depth we already have will suffice for the time being IMO. but its a good list.

Good point. He is definitely worth a thought.

Just took a look at draftcountdown.com (can't post a link yet :shakeno:)
There aren't many that would fit the "standard" NT size.
But many teams have a need at nosetackle.

At least Jerry would be an upgrade in pass situations immediately.
If he turns out to not be able to play the nose, could he play DE?

Very athletic...Terrific speed...Quick and explosive...Really fires off the ball...Active and has a fantastic motor...Does a nice job in pursuit and has a burst to close...Can penetrate and wreak havoc in the backfield...Uses his hands well...Shows the ability to shed blocks...Is comfortable in space...Pretty tough...Hard worker and leader...Great instincts and awareness...Productive against top competition...Still improving and might have some upside...Super impressive bloodlines.

Weaknesses:
Does not have great size or bulk...Frame is awfully close to being maxed out...Not very strong or powerful...Isn't real stout at the point of attack...Has to be more consistent with his leverage...Can get pushed around in the run game...Struggled in the classroom and intelligence may be an issue...Older than the average prospect...Will not be a good fit for every team...Has some major durability concerns.

Notes:
First name is pronounced "pa-RAY"...Failed to qualify academically and attended Hargrave Military Academy prep school for a year before joining the Rebels...Will be a 25-year-old rookie...Brother, John, is an offensive lineman at Ole Miss and his cousin Jamarca Sanford is a safety...Two other cousins, Eddie Strong and Toward Sanford, also played for the Rebels...Another cousin, Dwayne Rudd, played at Alabama, was a first round pick and played in the NFL from 1997-2003...A 1st Team All-American in 2008...Named 2nd Team All-SEC as a junior and 1st Team as a senior...Also saw some action at defensive end for the Rebels...Missed some time with an ankle injury during his year at the prep school...Missed the first four games of his freshman season with an injury...Was hampered by a foot injury in 2006 that eventually required some offseason surgery...Underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus in his right knee in August of 2008...Started slow as a senior while he battled back from knee surgery but came on like gangbusters down the stretch...Led the SEC in tackles for a loss in 2008...Best fit will likely come as a three-technique...Very talented and definitely has the ability to be an impact player on the interior if he can stay healthy, however that is a big "If".

Well the problem is, that I need 20 posts before I can post a link.
But I'm working on it.

Sounds not too good for me. Durability problems? Not that good against the run game? Old and not smart? Oh and not strong and powerful?
I don't like that kind of players... especially not as my Nosetackle.

Is this Scouting report similar to other reports?
If that's the case I don't think we will use our 1st rounder on him.

NT should be number 1

i think Guard is a bigger need then Tackle

The common thought around here about this is that by drafting a center, we actually upgrade the guard position also because this will slide Satele over to the guard spot. I'm not saying i agree with this, but that's the common perception aound here.

Personally, I think that Satele is a career back-up at OG/C. He pulls well, but he is awfull at blocking a moving target.
