Every stat you read in this post are taken from pro-football-reference.com. For those who dont know, its a stats site who doesnt manipulate stats or give subjective opinions of this or that play.... Just plain old results statistics...

First of all, after 5 games, the Offense gets a -2.4 rating and the defense gets a -4.6 rating... Things are looking great!
Strength of schedule is a -0.8, mainly because of the Titans because we had one of the toughest schedule prior...

On offense

we rank 9th in yards per play with 5.8 yards per play

passing offense ranks 4th in raw Y/A behind only ATL, NE and SD***Top 5

It ranks 17th in adjusted yards per attempt(AY/A) with 6.9 which factors in TDs and INTs[league avg. 7.1]***AVG

it ranks 16th in net yards per attempts(NY/Y) with 6.7 which accounts for sacks[league avg. 6.47]***AVG

it ranks 21st in ANY/A wich is the sum of AY/A and NY/A(notables worst than Fins: Car, KC, Ari, Bal, TB)***Below AVG

Fins passing game ranks 25th in pass attempts and 22nd in passing yards.

rushing offense ranks 18th with 4 yards per attempt

they rank 30th in rushing attempts and 28th in rushing yards.

On defense

Fins allow 5.5 yards per play which ranks 16th, dead on average

they've allowed 113 passing first downs which ranks them 26th(From best to worst)

opposing QBs average a 101.5 rating and that ranks them 27th

they rank dead worst against the run giving up 150.8 yards per game

Drives
LOL

Offense ranks 31st with an average of 2:03 per drive
Defense ranks 31st with an average of 3:00 against per drive***Only 4 offenses in the NFL average more than 3 minutes per drive***

***Before anyone tries to blame the offense for the defense being tired, the defense is actually worst in the 1st half than it is in the 2nd. So there goes that theory...***

Wow, we're pretty consisten at being bad all the way around. I hope that stat where our defense it's worst early on will stop the threads about how the offense being bad hurts the defense and of course it does to a point but our defense is bad on their own

Ozzy rules!!

The defense is actually at its worst in the 1st quarter, giving opponent QBs a 118 rating and allowing 4.8 yards per carry...

So I guess it is possible to pass for a good clip behind a crappy o-line when only rushing 35% of the time, eh? But we're actually ranked 9th in yards per attempt.

Sacks are not in the equation for Y/A... they are though in NY/A, in which we rank 16th... So yeah, OL makes us dip form 4th to 16th...

Like I said every stat I used are from pro-football-reference.com... And they have us 4th(actually tied for 3rd)...

Im not going to get in a pissing contest with you about which site is better because quite frankly, I dont know very much about team rankings, but Im very confident in PFRs accuracy on most stats, Y/A certainly being one of them...

With so many 3rd and longs we have to keep the ball in the air.
Which then turns to 3 and out.
Then it snow balls out of control.

Down and distance splits
Passing offense is best on 2nd & 4-6 with a 146 rating, followed by a 116 rating on 1st and <10, then 109 on 2nd and 1-4...

95 rating on 1st and 10 and 2nd and 7-9...

86 on 3rd and 10+ but that has to be taken with a grain of salt as most of those passes were completed but didnt get the 1st down...

After that... Well we just flat out suck on 3rd down no matter what the distance is...

***Down and distance splits have to be taken lightly after only 5 games due to very low sample size***

I'm surprised the defense isn't ranked 33rd against the run.

how do we even have enough plays for a reliable sample? We have like 4 first downs all season.

It's not a matter of worse in the first half than the second half. When the D stops them on the first drive, and they have in most games and the O goes 3 and out and the D gets right back on the field, yes they are tired. It's about time of possession and the D would absolutely carry their weight and probably be better that half if the O could stay on the field longer than 19 minutes a game. Tunsil being hurt after just about 1 hour of game play for the whole season is concerning. The offense is way softer than the D; calling out Pouncey, Albert, Tunsil, James, Parker and Foster over half the offense.

Damn those numbers are ugly. Our schedule really hasn't been that tough. We played the two other worst teams in the league in CLE and TEN. And we got a Brady and Gronkless pats team. On the road at SEA is of course brutal but we got them at the best time to play them which is during the chaotic 1st week. Our toughest game was against a very unimpressive looking 2-3 Bengals team, whose only other win was a 1 point win against the Jets. We have been extraordinarily bad.

One stat I'd like to see is drives killed by Dolphins players - self-destruction. Penalties, Fumbles, INTs, whiffs on blocks. Seems these kill a LOT of drives.
