Miami Dolphins Vs. New England Patriots: 3 Key Match-Ups

I just keep thinking about how highly rated a bunch of guys had McCain coming out. I was getting pumped up about him and now look at him. The biggest liability in our secondary.

Dammit Bobby, play your heart out!

KEY MATCHUP
Bill Belichik vs. Adam Gase

I thought Amendola was out? Edelman too?

Edit: found it, Edelman is a go

Key:

How we attack Brady. Most likely the Pats come out with very quick passes (protect Brady and attack our weak linebackers & McCain) thereby neutralizing Wake and Suh.

Solution:
Blitz and stack the box, take away the inside quick slants and make Brady go up top. This often takes a little longer to develop and may allow a few solid hits on Brady. I don't care if we get burned on some long passes as long as we get a helmet or two in Brady's gut. Make him pay and think twice about holding onto the ball.

This game is our Mulligan. Why not come out and make sure they feel the pain during their bye week. I would rather they strike quickly rather than die a slow methodical death, wearing out the defense and dominating the time of possession. Let's try out trick plays, and get Grant on some reverses and have Gray throw a pass or two. We've got nothing to lose.

Yes Claytonduper, if we don't smack Brady he will pick us apart. If he becomes uncomfortable and gets his panties in a bunch we can win.

If nothing else, make Belichik think twice about leaving Brady out there. I am willing to bet he has maximum protection for Brady and relies heavily on the run game.

yes cause Blunt is running hard. Brady's quick delivery is almost like a run play. If we don't play tight, fast at cb and lb it will be a long day. Brady won't let our ends get to him but if we do we get a W.

Blount may have 50 carries in this game...he has been a beast....huge man with 17 TDS....and he gets ZERO publicity in the media.....Kiko may need a stretcher after this game....

I think Bennett vs ? is another big match up. He killed us the first game, and TEs have been toturing our defense all season. With so many in the secondary, and LBs injured I don't know who we put on him.

I think our WRs vs Pats Secondary is huge too. Last time we played Landry and Parker both had 100 yards, and Kenny had a big td. This is where we can hurt them, and we will need big plays to keep up with them. I am expecting to allow 30+ points, so this group needs to have a big day to stay in it.

The surprise stuff may be better served in the playoffs.

Another thought:

Normally, I'm a proponent of deferring when winning the coin toss - I'd rather start with the ball after halftime.

But against the Pats, I want it first. Playing catch-up against them is never preferred.
