More commentary on stats when I was talking about actually watching him play. Bravo. You keep talking about fantasy football, I'll keep talking about the real thing. I guess I'm crazy for expecting a WR to actually do something with the ball after he catches it rather than immediately folding. About the only stat that can possibly show that is YAC, both average per catch and total (the latter of which he amassed an "amazing" 81 yards for the season).
He'll have his place on the team if he can get open for a split second around the 1st down marker, but it certainly isn't as the #1 WR on the team. A top WR is a threat when he gets the ball in his hands. Hartline doesn't qualify. Again, you can look at your pretty little stats all you want and it won't make any difference. Hell, you can probably put together your stats in a way that makes Naanee look like the greatest WR in the history of the NFL.
