I think the Steelers are taking Dart at 22.
It's getting tougher to win in this league without a multidimensional quarterback. That's just the reality. The playoffs highlighted how important that is.I think the lack of speed Tua now has is a severe detriment, reality is he was so much slimmer in college, not so much anymore and that only magnifies the issus, he has better chances of gaining some yards or escaping college kids who mostly are not playing at this level
Agreed on all points. It's getting tougher to win in this league without a multidimensional quarterback. That's just the reality. The playoffs highlighted how important that is.
I also think upgrading over Tua won't be easy. He is a good quarterback. I'd bring in a developmental quarterback this year and maybe take a big swing in 2026.
Or Willie Beamen, who was QB of the last Miami team to win a playoff gameIf Shane Falco is there in the 5th I say we pull the trigger.
I think Tua is probably going to be with the Dolphins for a minimum of 2 more years. Same goes for McDaniel as our HC.It's getting tougher to win in this league without a multidimensional quarterback. That's just the reality. The playoffs highlighted how important that is.

I think you are spot on.I think Tua is probably going to be with the Dolphins for a minimum of 2 more years. Same goes for McDaniel as our HC.
I would just try to find a better veteran backup somebody like Jimmy G who can run this offense if or when Tua misses time without it falling apart.
Draft a QB in the later rounds who has a similar skill set to Tua. Maybe McCord.
Improve the OL as much as we can so Tua is better protected which will reduce his injury risk.
I agree though that the wave of the present and future is to have a mobile QB. The athletes on the D-line are becoming much better than the athletes on the O-line and so QB's are having less time in the pocket so extending plays and evading pressure is becoming more important for a QB.
Its not everything though as Milroe was sacked 3 times in the Senior Bowl despite his athleticism.
We will probably have to wait until we are looking for our next QB to look for a QB who has the athleticism thats become the wave of the future.
You don't necessarily need a "running QB" but you need a QB who can move around some evade pressure and extend plays.I have been hearing the "dual threat" QB being the future since the days of Randall Cunningham. Then we watched a pocket passer with limited mobility become the GOAT. I'll take a guy that can maneuver the pocket over a runner any day
I'm not a Milroe fan. I'd rather have Dart. I think he has a better upside. But let's be clear, all these QBs are crapshoots. Bottom line they must draft one to develop to eventually take over. I just don't know if they have adequate coaching to develop a QB.I think I like Milroe a little more than Dart. I think Dart/Beck are on near the same level with Dart be more creative. Tyler Shough would be the lottery ticket pick if we are looking to hit on a late round QB. I wouldn't want any other QB in this draft. The thing that turns me off Dart a little bit is that I see him great throws on the run and I see him make tight window throws, but I don't see him make tight window throws under pressure. If you look at Mahomes tape from college, that is all it is. And let's face it, That's why people are high on Dart. He looks similar. But it's not the same. Shough has more of those plays but not as jaw dropping. Milroe offers something different, but you can see how he could be "that guy". But he's got the biggest learning curve out of all of them. Shough is probably more ready to play.
