instead of pulling something out of your ***, like saying a fumble is equivalent to an incompletion on 4th down, why dont you try to stick with what happen. If Henne fumbled, fans would be all over him wanting him benched, wanting Moore, wanting Orton, wanting Tebow, etc. it would go down as us failing to even attempt to make a play on a crucial 4th down. instead, we made an attempt at making a play. It was a bad throw, and probably a bad play call, but not as bad as a fumble. just because it is a turn over of possession does not mean they will have an equivalent impact. losing the ball on a fumble, INT hurts player's morale, turnovers on TOP do less damage as they had an attempt to make a play.
Next you will say that throwing a INT on a 40 yard bomb is the same as punting the ball.
a TURNOVER on downs is still a turnover.......just cause it doesnt show up in the stat sheet doesnt it change what it really is....
