Kenya DRAKE:
Drake, who most draft experts tab as a mid-round pick, served as a versatile, change-of-pace backup for four seasons with the Crimson Tide, most recently behind Henry, who won the Heisman in 2015.

Last month at Alabama’s pro day, Alabama coach Nick Saban called Drake a “unique-style player” and even brought him up in a conversation with New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick a day before the on-campus showcase.

“He’s kind of a specialty guy who is a great receiver, especially as a mismatch guy out of the backfield, but he can also go out and run routes like a receiver,” Saban said. “And he does have some potential as a running back, which is his natural position, especially on any kind of space plays. This is a guy that some people are going to covet, especially in style of play that you have right now.

“Bill Belichick and I were talking last night about 60-65 percent passing in the NFL right now. Well, that’s certainly a guy you could feature in an offense like that.”

JAKEEM GRANT:
The positives are numerous;
speed and playmaking ability stand out.
the leading receiver ever at Texas TeCH. He’s drawing comparisons to DeSean Jackson, T.Y. Hilton and Tyler Locket.

He’s a versatile return man that provides a shifty presence at the 4th WR spot. Maybe he can even develop into a Wes Welker-type presence in the slot.

High ceiling, high floor-type return man. True weapon.

LEONTE CAROO:

A player that has been compared to AMARI COOPER.His speed, vision, route running, and natural pass-catching ability make him a legitimate threat to score every time he touches the ball. Woud ve been a first rounder if he had entered the 2015 draft.
Among players with at least 50 receptions, Carroo finished with the largest yards-per-catch average (19.7) in the country. Eighteen of his catches went for 20 yards or more, something Carroo owes to explosive plays after securing the ball.

THOMAS DUARTE

He Is a Playmaker as a WR/TE/H-Back ! "Smooth" is Duarte's nickname at UCLA.
"He has the two qualities you need as a receiver," He gets open and he catches everything.

In the Duarte household, you had to.
Timothy Duarte, his father, was a high school running back and linebacker. Duarte's uncles, Tom and Jim, were high school quarterbacks.
he will be a match-up problem for defenses in the passing game.

There you go faithful Dolphins fans, we will fill seats again and sells out whatever name our stadium is given. Behold exciting football is back in Miami again.

Proof is in the pudding, but I sure as **** hope so.

Don't like the Duarte Pick, I just don't see him making the roster. Iffy on Drake, there where a couple other options at HB I would have rather had. I hope we find a place for Grant other than KR/PR. Love the Caroo Pick, would be awesome to see him earn the sport across the field from Parker.

Duarte was a seventh round pick. Most 7th rounders don't make the team. Who the hell cares who the seventh round pick is

lol, Drake has bust written all over him, a freaking running back that is actually bad at running with the ball, has not-good hands, doesn't break tackles, with an highlight video that is....depressing to say the least (an highlight video....his BEST plays....sad).... hearing the Saban's endorsment is even more depressing: is a specialty guy?!?!?!?!?! have SOME potential as a running back?!?!? ......damn and that his coach praising him!!! ...and of course we took him in the 3rd, when we are without a proven running back on the team. exciting for sure.

luckily we compensated this blunder trading away 2 next year picks for WR that will ride the pine all the year long.

I mean: a raw cb, a running back unable to running the best you can say about is...gadget player, a luxury opick in a wr that wont play, a QB with no arm that will be a back up in the BEST case, another gadget player... and spending all the 4th&5th rounds watching other teams picking players (it's not like you can find some talent in that spot, like Sherman, our Jones or Miller and on and on)

no doubt, our offense will be exciting: we won't be able to run unless jayjay is the real deal and healthy, we will have to manufacture plays for gadget guys like Drake or Grant in the best case scenario (meaning that they at least see the freaking field), but I am quite sure that the rest of our division, not to speak the NFL, is scared at the idea.

yeah, I am in a very optimistic mood about this franchise.

edit: and to add something, I regret saying that Drake has bust written all over: nobody should or could say that... or at least one should wait to watch them actually play! it's just that I really hated the pick for a couple of reason and the emotions got the best of me

Carroo will be at worst the #3 WR on the team. He will be on the field a lot. Get used to Parker , Landry & Carroo as your top 3 WRs. So no Carroo will not be riding the pine all year long. Pick compensation was high but he will be a big part of the offense.

As I have been saying since the end of last season, I won't get excited until I actually see results that produce wins. I am sick of falling for the hype on paper only to have the rug pulled out from underneath me. It might be a pessimistic view but I am airing on the side of expect the worse and hope for the best.

well, maybe, I just don't think that a rookie will be come in and will take the spot from stills like that, but who knows? maybe he will (on the other side, that would make even more pathetic the trade for Stills, but nevermind, it was a different regime, I know. Just kind of sad anyway)

anyway, it still stand that the position wasnt a need in any way and that, like you say, the price was very high: I still don't like the move (it's not about the players, per se, but about our receivng corp and the price we paid)

The Dolphins lost Matthews & Miller on offense. While we can argue that the Dolphins should have tried harder to resign them, the fact is they are both gone. The Dolphins needed to replace their production. Obviously they believed that they needed more than just guys like Stills, Hazel and Whalen behind Parker & Landry. Carroo was one of the top rated players on their board and a logical choice to replace Matthews. We may feel they gave up too much to get him but he was a player that I believe Gase and Shawn Jefferson really wanted. I don't see this as a luxury pick at all.

i am not a huge fan of the Drake pick but that's who the Dolphins targeted to replace some of Miller's production. I am not too thrilled about the current RB depth. Ajayi runs hard and is going to take a beating and I do not see Drake or any of the other RBs on the roster as the type of #2 RB that can carry the full load if Ajayi is out for an extended period of time. Drake may become a nice weapon for the team however like I said I am not sold on the RB group right now. We will see how the roster pans out by September.

I believe with Gase's system the offense will be much improved in 2016. Last years 19.4 PPG was pathetic. Hopefully this year's offense can get to at least the mid 20s in PPG.

Stills was given a shot with Parker not being ready to start he 2015 season. Stills was mostly invisible and had way too many drops when he did get his shot. Matthews took the #2 spot and didn't look back until he got injured. I guess the new coaching staff wasn't going to rely on Stills, an unproven Hazel or a special teams player in Whalen to be their #3 receiver in 2016. I don't blame them, which is why I believe getting a guy like Carroo was necessary. I don't like giving up as many picks as they did but it is what it is. That was the guy they wanted and decided to pay a steep price for him.

I think the thought with the Carroo pick was to be prepared to let Stills walk. Play Stills heavily this year while getting Carroo acclimated with the thought that Stills signing elsewhere will be palatable as we have his replacement on the roster and will get a comp pick.

If Caroo is the real deal I'm trading Stills before the trade deadline.

OP. You forgot to add that we already have 3 WR's and these rookies won't make an impact or see the field at all.
