While Miami has had the most success of any team against Tom Brady (5 losses) they have never beaten him leading the Patriots in a meaningful game for the AFC East Crown. I hope that changes this weekend or the Fins season is over.

2001 season: Week 4 at Mia Miami 30, New England 10
2001 season: Week 15 at NE New England 20, Miami 13

We won the 1st matchup vs Brady but late in the season he beats us to win the division.

2002 season: Week 5 at Mia Miami 26, New England 13
2002 season: Week 17 at NE New England 27, Miami 24 (OT)

We won the 1st game vs Brady but late in the season he beats us to knock us out of the playoffs and give the Jets the division.

2003 season: Week 7 at Mia New England 19, Miami 13 (OT)
2003 season: Week 14 at NE New England 12, Miami 0

Leading the division after 6 weeks we fall in OT, later in the season in a must win we get shutout in NE, Ricky smokes it up after this game. LOL

2004 season: Week 5 at NE New England 24, Miami 10
2004 season: Week 15 at Mia Miami 29, New England 28

We win meaningless game at the end of the season when our playoffs chances are gone.

2005 season: Week 10 at Mia New England 23, Miami 16
2005 season: Week 17 at NE Miami 28, New England 26

We win meaningless game at the end of the season when our playoffs chances are gone. Brady plays a few series.

2006 season: Week 5 at NE New England 20, Miami 10
2006 season: Week 14 at Mia Miami 21, New England 0

We win meaningless game at the end of the season when our playoffs chances are gone. We did stop their 21 game winning streak.

2007 season: Week 7 at Mia New England 49, Miami 28
2007 season: Week 16 at NE New England 28, Miami 7

NE sweeps us during undefeated regular season

2008 season: Week 3 at NE Miami 38, New England 13
2008 season: Week 12 at Mia New England 48, Miami 28

Brady out with knee injury. Cassell beats us in critical game down the stretch. NE loss to Pittsburgh opens the door for us to win division.

2009 season: Week 9 at NE New England 27, Miami 17

Trailing 2 games and needing a win the Fins falter yet again.

2009 season: Week 13 NE at Mia

Please let this trend end this year....

Primary team Miami: 6-11
Points for Miami: 338
Points against Miami: 387

Miami has never PLAYED Brady in a meaningful game.

We've sucked ever since Brady came around... only year we didn't suck he was out for the season.

ur points r rite, but we simply chocked vs them in 2002 finale at foxboro. that had nothing to do with the pretty boy ***get beating us. if wanstadt knew how to coach and ran the ball with the best back in the league, rather then pass it, we run the clock out and we win.

also it didnt help that mare in ot kicks the ball out of bounds to give them the ball at the 40 to start.

What the hell are you talking about? 2001 and 2002 were both for the division.
2002 was the last game of the season. New England was 8-7 and Miami was 9-6.
In 2001, we were 9-4 going into the game and New England was 9-5. (Remember this was before Houston came into the league and teams had byes at the end of the year. The Pats didn't have their bye yet.) Anyways, we both had scrubs to finish our schedule, so it was clear that the loss in this game was going to be the only loss between the two to finish the regular season.

Although it wasn't as meaningful as those, we were 3-5 and the Pats were 4-4 when we met in 2005. The winner of that game was going to lead the division at least for one week.

Of course, we lost all three.
PS. I consider at least the first two I mentioned to be more important than Sunday

Dude, I went to the Pats vs. Dolphins up here in Foxborro in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. I'm so friggin glad that I couldn't get tickets for the 2002 game.

Wasn't trying to say Brady was the reason for our failures. Just pointing out that Brady led Patriots late in the season have been a bummer for the Fins. Wannstadt and the refs were the reason for the blown OT game in 2002 season finale. Bogus pass interference on J Fletcher setup Patriots final TD. Missed FG by Mare also in the 3rd quarter.

since when is a game meaningful? Everygame is a must win. Btw in 2002 the jets won the divison, not the pats. get your facts straight.

Meaningful=significant

A win early in the season isn't as significant as winning against the same team in December when the division title is on the line. But yes every game counts.

I never said the Patriots won the division in 2002. I said the Patriots beat us in Ot giving the divsion crown to the Jets.

damn everybody is grumpy (picky) today. I'm going home.

I'm not sure if you were referring to me or not, but I know that the Jets won the division. I said it was for the division because if Miami won they had the division outright. If the Pats won, they had the division if the Jets lost to Green Bay. The Jets beat Green Bay, so they snuck in. I know my facts, trust me.

We didn't suck in 2001, 2002, or 2003. 2001-made the playoffs. 2002- lost the division title on a tiebreaker[Starting QB fielder got hurt during the season also, and we were doing great with him that year] 2003-10 wins, still missed the playoffs, one of the rare times a double-digit win team misses.

2005 was okay.

NA na granchamp71. The person who started this thread said pats won the divison in 2002, which the jets won. my bad home's

Well its good to know that New England doesn't beat us twice a year every year.

maybe im wrong here, but r u sure that if the jets had lost the pats wouldve won the division? i remember watching the jet game right after and i was so pissed off bc the jets were winning, and the only reason id even care if the jets had won after the debacle we pulled off, is bc if they had somehow lost the dolphins wouldve gotten in?

i could be wrong though, but i thought that was the case. i must say, as a dolphin fan, since im pretty young and i didnt start watching till i was 9 years old religiously in 99, that was prob the worst i have ever felt. we just needed to either beat the vikings the week before or the pats.

just like when penny when back to the meadowlands to face the jets to clinch the division, u knew it was fate that was meant to happen and we couldnt lose that game. same with the fins in 02, once we lost to the vikes the week before, and then after we collapsed vs the pats, u knew that the jets were in no way going to lose to gb, even though gb finished 12-4 that season. i still remember that day like it was yesterday unfourtunately.

Why do we even care? Why such argument?

We'll beat the living snot out of the Pats and make sure that Brady will sit the last 10 minutes on the sideline pouting.

He has such cute pouty lips.
