Miami has the hardest SOS in the AFC East, 18th Overall

I would have given you the benefit of the doubt but since you're wrong 90% of the time I figured you were wrong about who derailed this conversation so I looked back.

The first off topic comment was post #8:
This post was completely off-topic.

Every post before that spoke directly about the schedule, the strength thereof or attempted to shed some light as to why the SOS is deceiving before the season starts.

all of these posts were before my post:

The reason NE plays the weaker teams is because we are the weaker teams (Fins, Bills, Jets) twice a year.

Yep...the same goes for the Bills and the Jets. I remember when the AFC East was the toughest division to be in...now we are little better than the NFC West...

Please explain how I took it off topic?

By "all" I'll assume you meant "both"...

"The reason NE plays the weaker teams..." - directly discusses SOS. He’s attempting to explain how 3 teams, in NE's division, with mediocre or losing records automatically lowers their SOS. You see, when you're a team with a winning record, and you play teams with losing or mediocre records twice a year, your SOS gets easier. Seems obvious…

"Yep...the same goes for the Bills and the Jets." – This was in response to J Tes comment “well you do realize that we lower N.E.’s SOS and they raise ours?” Still on topic as he’s explaining that all 3 teams in NE’s division make their SOS appear easier since all 3 teams had mediocre or losing records. Again, obvious.

Both are on topic.

If you would read the threads instead of skimming them for mentions of the jests your reading comprehension would probably increase dramatically.

Care to explain how “don't lump us in w/ you guys and the Bills.” is ON TOPIC?

Your response just makes it seem that you're simply butt-hurt at the idea that your pitiful jests don't belong with the upper tier teams such as New England. Newsflash, they don't. Not with an 8-8 record.

Here's a thread that shows the lunacy

Gee thanks Chet.

The thread was about Matt Moore.

Unfortunately, he’s right about this one (kinda, in a way, i suppose, not really though). I pointed out that he was off-topic in that very thread and my post was deleted and I received an infraction for my trouble from *mods name withheld*, claiming that I had in fact hijacked the thread by stating that he had hijacked it… meh

Apparently, in the eyes of some of the powers that be, any mention of the jests or any of their players or staff or the color green, is an open invitation for junc to come in and discuss anything he wants.

Just the way it is I guess.

Back on topic now…

The thing about SOS is that it’s irrelevant early on. Teams seem to quickly move from bottom dwellers to NFL royalty overnight anymore in this modern era of football. Hopefully, our turn is coming.

I thought there were more than 2 but yes there were only 2. Clearly the Jets don't belong in any group w/ Buf and Miami even last year. My comment was on topic, maybe once in a while I goof up and change it(very rare) but I'd like to see evidence.

I deal in reality, I'm not hurt in any way I am just discussing facts. Even a "bad" year in 2011 we were clearly not down w/ Mia and Buf. NE's SOS at least includes a .500 team from the division.

You'd be surprised how many topics I open and start to reply only to stop myself and not post. Some topics I don't feel I belong, the ones where I do I post.

I answered your question with intelligent thought and an explanation even a 6 year old could grasp. You're welcome. At the very least you could try to answer my question and explain just how your comment was on topic. "My comment was on topic" does neither of these things...

In reality, your teams mediocre 8-8 record contributes to NE's (13-3) SOS being easier. Since anyone they play without a winning record (9-7 or below) increases the ease of their SOS then all 3 teams, even your mediocre jests, deserve to be lumped together in this context. Should I draw it on the chalkboard so you can follow along?

Christ, I've worked with children who could grasp simpler concepts than this.

foot rubbing for sure but w/ the lap band I don't know if I can bet on him in an eating contest.

Have you seen him lately, he has been working out hard with many triple cheeseburgers and extra large shakes...Man is training.

Awesome, are you really telling me you'd rather win a division title and get humiliated at home in the WC rd than earn a WC and win 2 road games then play for the right to go to the SB

No I am telling you my team did something your teams has not able to do in a long time, and your team did something my team has been unable to do for a long time, and neither of us should really be talking about that because both matter very little, considering what the end plan of each team is.

2009:

teams split reg season, Jets advance to AFC Championship game while pats get crushed at home in WC rd

And If Miami had been the team to play the Colts and Bengals instead of the Jets, Miami would have been the team to advance to the playoffs....gifts given to the Jets By the Bengals (They quit with an entire half to go) and the Chargers (Team continued to drive for scores, Kicker continued to miss easy FGs) also helped in the Jets greatness.

Oh and by the way, both teams did not split, Miami swept your team...remember?

2010:

teams split in reg season, Jets advance to Championship game by beating up NE at NE in the div rd

Jets were far more legit in 2010, but boy did your team continually luck out at one point for 4 straight games where your team was as good as about to lose if not for some amazing breaks to help your team win...like qbs getting hurt, a bad interferience call, a receiver instead of just going out of bounds, deciding to take it one more yard and fumbling. The 2010 Jets were a far better team then the 2009 Jets, but they needed a lot of luck to reach the playoffs again.

The Dolphins were a better regular season team then the Jets in 09, but thanks to some horrible play calling by Henning in 2010, Miami never really had a chance to be as sucessful as the Jets, especially without the breaks the Jets were getting at one point.

AGAIN: What happened in 2009 and 2010 mean nothing in 2012.

In 2009, Denver started the season with 6 straight wins. To me that's more impressive than a team that actually ended up winning all of 2 straight games vs. one of the worst PO teams in recent history and a notoriously choking HC and his choking kicker, before reality reared its ugly head in the form of a Colts team outscoring them 24-0 in 31 minutes when it counted most.

Sorry but a team that went a legitimate 7-7, beating teams with a sub .300 cumulative winning average, losing 6 out of 7 games and choking at home against Atlanta which their buffoonish coach thought eliminated them from the POs (and should have if not for 2 egregious gifts) before mounting a modest 2 game win streak including beating SD despite themselves and their slug QB may well qualify as a "lucky team" but it was far from a good one!.

Interestingly, including that 2 game post season january 69 farce, the jets never, never, never won more than 2 games in any post season. Go figure :idk:

It's true that any mention of them, he's there. He then blames them for bringing it up and that they're responsible for the 30 page threads that follow. You know, b/c it's impossible to let it go just one time.

Not so much about it being taken off course but more so to show how the rose colored glasses you have on effect judgement.

Why are you guys even replying to this idiot? I used to visit this site, and NFL.com, several years ago, and this punk was a joke then.

You guys don't have to quote him and respond. Carry on your debate like he wasn't in the room, it is really your choice.
